@lantana411 Hey! I know we’re already connected, which I’m happy about. 🙂 One way to help yourself stay committed is to define some goals for yourself. Then put it in writing! Share your goals with others. A party is always fun when others are celebrating with you! 😉

@SafetyPolice @whitfcan @gorple76 @Megan_smartiepants1970 Hey, I’ve been trying to add you guys but MFP says that they disabled the friends request temporarily. Are you coming across the same issue??

@amusedmonkey Yeah, nuts are extremely calorie dense and it’s so easy to over do them. I like nuts but I never developed a craving for them. Potato chips on the other hand….like you said, it’s probably best to keep them out of the house in the 1st place to avoid tempted snacking

@Speakeasy76 Why are you eating to try to stay awake at night?

@cwolfman13 you’re right—pasta not inherently bad and portion size is crucial. I travelled to Italy for 3 weeks and saw that they don’t eat the portion sizes of pasta that Americans eat. I tended to overeat pasta and noodles b/c I love it so much. All those carbs break down to sugars, spike insulin, and helps to lead to…

@VegjoyP if the sweets are hard to do completely without, try to train your taste buds to do with less sugar. For example, make cake frosting with half or a quarter the amount of sugars you’d normally use and instead increase fat content for satiety. Your body metabolizes sugars and fats differently. I bet your mom made…

@RedRobed im finding the same with me. Since I’ve cut out added sugars, I find that I don’t have any sugar cravings. Also, since I’ve been making more stir frys with vegetables—esp broccoli, I’ve been wanting more stir frys with broccoli because it tastes so good to me

@karlatytus Hi Karla. Is the 1700 cal your BMR? Looking at your macros….what I would start with 1st is to reduce your carbs to no more than 75g per day. Also, look at food labels to make sure that you are not eating any hidden sugars. Eliminate high fructose corn syrup and keep added sugars to less than 25g per day. I…

@Walkywalkerson The only types of cheeses I eat tend to be Italian ones and feta. I still include those in my diet and at full fat. When I eat the full fat cheeses, I just make sure to not eat high carbs that day. I’d say enjoy your cheeses (Kraft singles don’t count) and control the carbs! ❤️

@Safari_Gal Great idea. Many sushi rolls are made with drizzles of sugary concoctions and other things. At least sashimi keeps it simple and focused on the meat

@IFjagain Have you tried pizza made with cauliflower crust?

I do an 18:6 on most days and have been working towards a 23:1 once a week. I’ve seen great results with it along with diet and exercise

Sounds great! Want to meet other like-minded ladies for support in our health journeys.

I probably should have added a bit more to my post. Lol. I came here because I was unhappy with the way I looked, my weight, and with some of my labs that were indicating that I’m headed towards DM2. My journey started because most importantly, I want to get healthy and get my labs into the optimal ranges. The weight loss…
