No. Intermediate. But I’m trying not to lift heavy because it hurts my bad and I’m older…

Thanks! Is it much more fun than just riding your normal bike? Can you give me a sense for the “enjoyment” difference between an ebike and a normal bike? I don’t have any ebike locations here and would be buying from the internet having never tried one…

Simultaneously.

Thanks! I have to go light on deadlifts due to a back problem. I deadlift 400, but cut it to 255 with lots of reps. Put back extensions in so I could go heavy with the machine. Would you still cut them knowing this?
-
I have no goal now and am trying to figure it out; besides a short term cut to get to 14% body fat. What does your lifting program look like now? Do you switch it up or just stick with what you have all the time? What benefits are you getting from it?

Oh, my bad. I’m new here…. Thanks!

Well said! Removing these constant complainers, what do the politicians mean when they say it, the one that are really trying to help people. Not the ones that are saying vague things to get people to vote for them?

I’m just looking for an idea of what people mean when they say “livable wage” What is your list of things that are needed…. Health insurance, child care, own a home, own a car for each adult, eat at a restaurant once a week, Walmart clothes, vacations…. What is the list of thing you need and I can do the math. I have a…

The “body fat” weight was your enemy or the “heavy lifting” weight? I’m guessing body fat… Losing my body fat is the next step, which I’ve done before and is pretty easy for me. I was at 13% bodyfat a year ago before my “bulk” attempt. Just wondering what to do after that…. If I was younger and had a better back, I would…

Thanks!

I have no idea what people mean when they say this. The average wage where I live is 42k a year before taxes. So maybe 36k after taxes. Assuming the bottom 20% is not making a “livable wage”, the maybe 25k a year is truly livable? However, when I talk with people about this, they come up with a much larger number, implying…

Just answering the original question “what if you exercised non stop except for eat and sleep breaks?”. Answer, I think you would die within a year. People have done this before and is the source for the phrase “working yourself to death”. The benefit is that you may go to heaven and be with Jesus. That is about it.

For my runs, I try to keep my heart rate at 165 for most of the 40 mins; upper limit of zone 4. Cycling about the same, but can bounce around depending on the terrain. I don’t really feel anything the next day. Not sore or fatigued. I could easily do more cardio. I’ve been doing cardio all my life but just started weight…

Any advice on the amount and timing of the cardio? My old trainer once told me that doing cardio the same day as lifting would greatly affect my strength gains. Also heard most bodybuilders avoid cardio as much as they can. Am I doing too much here? Can I do more?
-
Thanks!

Thanks! I’ll try that. How does the timing of the meals look? Am I overthinking it? Some of the bodybuilding books I’ve read stress the importance of timing, but maybe that is just for hardcore bodybuilders…

Eating the calories I burn each day. So 2400 plus whatever my polar calculates from exercise. Sorry, meant 25g of protein from chicken, not 25g of chicken. Where would you cap the powder? Maybe replace some of the protein powder with milk? Is there something substantial better than milk or something just as easy? Thanks!

Thanks! I can’t afford to pay for a program. Guess I’m SOL…

I followed the sl5x5 program; increase weight each workout if I passes the previous workout and deload if I failed 3 times. Madcow 5x5 is similar but with less progression.
-
Thanks! So take a program and replace the squat and DL with a substitute exercise and keep the same progression?
-
Do you have a few examples of that type of program. I can’t find any that has alternatives for both deadlift and squats… Thanks!

Can’t remember the name, but it is genetic. Confirmed with ex rays and has to do with disk degeneration. I did a low weight dumbbell program and started stronglifts 5x5 moving to madcow 5x5. He said “don’t deadlift over 100lbs”, but said maybe a little more when I expressed how light 100lb deadlifts are. He is not a weight…

Stronglifts 5x5

Thanks! I can’t afford a trainer or coach. I have limitations from the doctor, so I know what I can and can’t do. However, I’m wondering if I can simply replace the deadlifts in an overall program and still get the results. For example, does it make sense to replace the squats and deadlifts in stronglifts 5x5 with…
