  • Hey there! I’m also hitting 40 this year! While I love lifting for aesthetics, it’s mostly for longevity and health. The idea of not being self sufficient as I age is just not an option if I can help it. Feel free to add me!
  • No input other than I’m also considering my first show (have a coach) and had set a goal for myself as well. Stick to the plan that your coach has laid out (if you have one) and start posing sessions as soon as you can. How exciting for you!! Congrats on the goal and doing what it will take to get there!
  • Applying progressive overload…I spent too much time doing the same weight for x sets and reps and failing to push myself when warranted.
  • I think maybe for a short time just to fall in love with the process again “winging it” might work to take the “stress” out of it . If you want to progress though…it’s inevitable to return to tracking. I use fitlist and that way I can quickly save my workouts and ensure I’m applying progressive overload. I’ve wasted too…

  • It's possible, but always set realistic expectations. I have done many a bulk and cut cycles to build what I have and am currently in a cut-phase.
