Water is my drink of choice! About the only other thing I drink during the day is my tea for breakfast and occasionally in the afternoon if I want to warm up. I have this water bottle that reminds me to drink more throughout the day. I keep one on my desk at home and one at my desk at the office so I remember. My regular…

I started asking this myself recently; I noticed I was snacking when I was bored and I wasn't choosing healthy snacks. So, now if I feel like snacking; it has to be healthy snacks and not just because I'm bored. I've stocked the fridge with apples and oranges and lots of veggies and I make sure to take some with me when I…

@Go_Gal_Grow Inspiring! It's a life choice to live healthy; and living healthy is the result no matter how old we are or how much we weigh. Healthy practices are healthy choices!

@Dianedoessmiles1 our kids can barely afford to live here; my stepdaughter and her wife had to buy a house together with her mom in order to buy, my youngest daughter moved to central Illinois two years ago and is now talking about moving up to the middle of Wisconsin where the majority of our family is at; my oldest…

@Tabatha_Cain Congrats on the house hunt! It took us 6 contracts over 6 months to get our current home. We waited 2 months on one house that ended up having more liens on the property than it was worth! The others either didn't pass inspection or we were outbid. But, we have gained almost $400k equity in the 12 years we've…

@Tabatha_Cain Good luck on the house! I was a realtor many years ago in Illinois, the contracts should still be able to be sent out even if the realtor is on vacation (it's mostly all electronically these days). I always had someone in my office as back-up if I was out of touch; just had to share the commission with the…

Walking and/or treadmill at leat 5 days per week; and hopefully rowing and light weights a couple of times per week.

I'm doing fairly well on my meals and meal planning. It's the snacks that my husband has to have in the house the are the problem; which is funny, because before I started the challenges, I was not a sweet eater at all - I was the salt person but then I had to limit my salt and sugar, so I can't resist that one or two or…

My goals are to walk at least 7k steps 5 days per week; continue to eat healthy and track meals daily; and to get back on the rowing machine and light weights at least 2 days per week.

Greetings! I need to get back into my fitness routine after not having the greatest fall challenge. I am looking forward to getting back on the rowing machine and continuing with the treadmill. I will be focusing on getting out of my chair more often during the workday (my goal is to get up and walk around the office every…

These challenges are a way to stay accountable while working towards your goals. I'm so glad I found this group just before the spring challenge! Thank you for helping to run the program.

Greetings and thank you to all the OAL's, leaders, and participants. I think the whole idea of these "challenges" is accountability. I use the challenges to be accountable to myself to make sure I do the things I need to do in order to lead a healthy life. We all know what we really need to do in order to be healthy, some…

@Lady_Magenta come join our groups! We do quarterly challenges with in-between challenges throughout the year. We are a very supportive group and are currently in our "Fall" challenge with a new one starting come Winter. New Team Members Are Welcomed Throughout The Challenges.…

Thanks for this reminder; I'm in Colorado and I rarely wear a winter coat (can't say the same for previous years) but I still have several hanging in the closet. We have many organizations here that do annual coat drives for those less fortunate. I have at least 2-3 winter coats that I will be donating this week along with…

@Ceriusly1 I hope your mom will be okay. You will need to take care of yourself foremost or you won't be able to help anyone else. Hugs for you both!
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 Well, aren't you sweet! It was a nice day! :) @Kurtize Kayla looks fabulous in her costume!
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 Mine did take me out for dinner! :p @Tabatha_Cain that's great that you were able to both communicate your feelings after all. Same, I would rather have the company and at least the words versus gifts. :)
-
@Tabatha_Cain Sorry your guy forgot your birthday; the only reason mine doesn't is because it's the day before his ex-wife's birhday and the kids always remind him as well! LOL! He didn't exactly say happy birthday, he said, "Oh, so you're another year older!" Hopefully, your kids made it a special day for you!…

@dbeau57 I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost a friend to ALS just 3 years ago and I saw how heartbreaking it is. For it to be your own daughter, I can't even imagine the pain you feel. You and your families are in my thoughts and hugs and condolences for you all.

Squash is considered a fruit! I've been eatin muesli or oatmeal with fruits and nuts in them for breakfast, grapes usually for morning snack, and then squash with dinner or berries for evening snack.

@Gisel2015 There are also many Facebook pages that are specifically for selling and/or donating items; there is one for the town I live in that is specifically for giving - I like that one because whoever wants an item has to come pick it up versus going to meet someone somewhere, so it makes it really easy to just leave…

@AdahPotatah2024 Don looks like he's from the Mister Roger's era! :D I can't imagine washing walls (or doing any housework) in a long sleeve sweater over a shirt and a tie!

I've been doing this challenge as well this year. I've lost over 10lbs since early spring. My blood pressure is down and I don't need those meds anymore. Working on lowering cholesterol now! I'm feeling healthier and more motivated with every challenge!

Join a challenge! Here's one that I'm doing for the Fall - the idea is to try to lose at least 5% of our weight over an 8 week period of time by healthy eating and exercise. This will be my 3rd challenge with this group and I've lost over 10 lbs so far this year; doesn't sound like a LOT, but it adds up and this was at…
