I've added a new category as 'Drinks' and add anything non-water to there. Its good to track sodium and sugar intake.

@cmriverside you are so right! I've edited my original comment, thank you for that. And definitely agreed, log exercises and keep mindful of the deficit created. Eat calories to ensure that the total deficit isn't too steep.

What I find helped me gauge my recommended calories is the website tdeecalculator.net You put your stats in, height, weight, age, gender, body fat (if known) and estimated exercise. It will give you your estimated TDEE, your TDEE is how many calories your body burns in an average day. If you'd like to lose 0.5lb a week =…

I love Joey Swoll, he's a total gym bro but really encourages people of all sizes. He helped me realise that the gym isn't a scary place.

Here to update again! Everything came back as normal so I'm being referred to a cardiologist for further investigation.
-
Have a nice day. Hope you find the answers you're looking for.

Hey @ninerbuff do you use any apps to track exercises, weight, sets and reps? I'd like to start progressive overload, instead of eyeballing weight thinking "yes I think this is the right weight to fail from 8-12 reps"

I was just saying what worked for me, sounds like pseudoscience but it helped me process a lot. It forces your brain to process these events, I even had a repressed memory come back (obviously needed confirmation that it was true, and it did happen). I'm actually seeking out receiving EMDR again as I've since undergone a…

As an aside, I'm very glad I've started to look after my health and have embarked on this weight loss, health and fitness journey. If an underlying issue is found in regards to my heart, I'm very glad I've discovered it now. Imagine if I continued living my unhealthy life with an underlying heart condition!

The ECG tech/nurse recommended this and was surprised I wasn't referred for that instead of the ECG. Years after my Dads first heart attacks, he suffered further heart attacks and had angina so stress tests were an annual thing for him. I no longer speak to him but unfortunately I share half of his genetics lmao, can't say…

I'd 100% discuss with my doctor if I were you.
-
Thank you! I'm calling my doctor tomorrow for my results of my blood test and ECG, I've decided if everything comes back as 'ok' then I'll ask to be referred to a cardiologist just as a precaution.

I'm one of these people that gets rid of clothes as soon as they don't fit so I no longer have any of my 'slim clothes' and I've been around my November 22 starting size for years now so only have clothes in the wardrobe that fit me. Since losing a lot of weight after seriously starting my new lifestyle in November, all of…

I think everyone needs a "tough love granny" in their lives.

My favourite so far is the Applied Nutrition whey and whey isolates, their strawberry flavour is gorgeous, the choco bueno not so much though :( 47g of protein and 187 calories for 2 scoops. And I have recently bought the protein pancake mix from Protein Works (just add milk or water) and it's so nice. 32g of protein per…

I have berry granola, greek yoghurt, milk, strawberry protein powder and frozen summer berries.

I suffer from CPTSD, I found that EMDR therapy worked best for my trauma symptoms.

I'd rather die than work out in the morning, late afternoon/evening definitely suits me. Different times suit different people but there isn't a marked difference of calories burned, just find what is sustainable for you long term :)
-
I had the same starting weight, height but I have no children and I'm in my 20s. I have to be honest you carried your weight very well! I definitely did not :) Slower = more sustainable. You're doing amazing

Hi everyone, thanks for all of your responses! They definitely helped me ease my anxiety on the issue. The doctor has ordered an ECG (I am hoping its an active one as my HR and BP is super normal at rest) and some blood tests to check my iron, thyroid levels, kidneys, liver etc. basically they're checking for everything.…

UK here too :)

I was able to run for 5 minutes without stopping :)

Unfortunately IF isn't a one size fits all, I'd go mad if I had to do it! I'd recommend doing a standard calorie deficit for weight loss, as all diets actually follow this. Depending on what your starting point and what your goal is, amend your calorie deficit to suit and only fast when you have to during religious…

Also the estimated figures are based on how I've lost so far. In future I'll aim for a goal of 1% body weight a week to be more sustainable.
-
Turns out everyone was right, I've just calculated that I have an 8000+ calorie weekly deficit. I will definitely adjust this as I'm only 30lbs away from my goal, then after that is where lifetime maintenance begins. Appreciate all of you!!!
-
I love it!! I'll try it but I do think a daily weigh in for me will start a bit of an obsession and may deter me. I weigh every Friday morning and plot my own graphs and have marked my cycles for future dates to account for anomalies or fluctuations. If I can help it I want to do this as healthily as I can for my body and…
-
I think you've given me quite the kick I've needed, even though the loss is going amazing for me its very possible that there will be fluctuations whether I've done everything I can or not. I do need a mindset change especially because I've been so used to seeing the numbers going down, only plateauing during my monthlies…
-
Thank you! My food deficit is at that point for sure but the additional exercise has meant that I probably have made it up enough to lose around 2lbs a week. Do you think I've been overdoing it? Apologies I thought 2lbs was just right! Thankfully today is my weekly weigh-in and I've lost 1lb, notice how I didn't say only…

Sorry I forgot to mention I’m not accounting for my exercise calories and I don’t eat them back, I understand it’s not sustainable long term so on the intense days I have around 1500 calories to ensure there’s enough fuel in my system. Today for example I’ve consumed 50% protein and I have to be honest, there’s not been a…

Thank you so much, I’m determined to meet my goals!
