I miss Oregon and dear friends there, and the climate. We have made many new friends here in Illinois and they are very nice—but the humidity here is amazing and tends to keep us indoors. Oh well. Katla

I just saw a hummingbird at my feeder. It was there for a short time while grabbing a sip of sugar water. <3 I was delighted. Katla in Illinois

I usually visit Women 50+ via my phone. I find this group friendly, encouraging and kind. I agree with Heather & Rebecca. I can’t change others. It’s hard enough to make needed changes for myself. Katla

Machka— Years ago I had severe pain episodes & dragged myself to the doctor for help. He sent me to the hospital for surgery to remove my gallbladder. I had only one gallstone & it was a doozy. Surgery went well and I have not had any problems since then. I wish you well and freedom from pain. 🤞🏻 Katla

It is county fair time here in Illinois. I’m looking forward to seeing it in the near future with my daughter & grandchildren. Humidity has been higher than I expected. I hope it will be cooler when we go. Katla

Yesterday was no fun & I wound up in my apartment because of a yucky nose & throat. I am doing fine today—👍🏻 😊 I inherited a weather device from my grandfather many years ago & it is remarkably accurate for temperature, barometer & humidity. Regarding shoes—I wear SASS shoes & they’ve been sturdy and comfortable. They’re great for long walks. Machka—I hope your bruising is healing well & you can & go about your daily routine. Fingers crossed that you don’t need surgery. 🤞🏻 Katla

<3 This afternoon I was able to watch DH’s physical therapy session. It looked very good. Today he rode a NuStep stationary bike to help strengthen his legs. I watched a previous session & it looks like he is improving. This is good news. 👍🏻. Katla

Today is sunny with a gentle breeze, an excellent beginning. DH is doing well & I am encouraged by his progress in physical therapy. I’m looking forward for spending time in the garden later today. Katla in Illinois

I am awake early here in Illinois. A hummingbird has already come to my feeder for its breakfast at 6:30 am. I am looking forward to my morning coffee. DH has been having physical therapy sessions and seems to be doing better. I am delighted. Katla

I like SAS shoes for walking and have been very happy with them. They’re sturdy and comfortable, & last a long time. SAS=SanAtonio Shoes. Mine are black. They aren’t stylish but they’re great for walking. Katla
