  • @dawnbgethealthy It was refined sugars that were one weak spot for me. Starch is the other. I’m being careful not to deprive myself of sweet food entirely. A tablespoon of honey, or molasses, or maple syrup, each have around the same amount of calories. And I can drizzle honey over apple slices for a treat, or maple syrup…

Not recommended! I am back down into…
  • Can’t wait to join in on looking for smaller clothes. I just took some “Before” photos to keep me on track toward my goals. Wearing a pair of jeans that I want to fit into, eventually. Follow up photo to be taken in six months. NSV: lost a pound and a half, first week. Yay me, let’s go, healthier me.
  • After a long week… but I just had a 90 calorie snack and enjoyed it, so… so what! Very glad to meet you all.
  • Thank you Barbie for this! :) I’m new to this and it’s the first “project” with real goals that I’ve done for myself since a few years ago… since before menopause, since before covid, before I moved, before a parent passed away, since… it doesn’t really matter, let’s just say I’ve been neglecting self-care. 50 years old…
  • I just started this. Goal is one pound per week, 4 or 5 lb in one month will be enough to keep me motivated. I don’t need drastic progress, I just need progress.
  • Tiny NSV, but after just a week of cutting way back on snacks, I’m craving sugar and salt less already. Will probably have moments of cravings that will come and go, but that gnawing feeling like I have to constantly nibble on something, it’s gone. I just might stick with this!
  • Hi - Female, Age 50, height 5’4” Challenge Starting Weight: 200 lbs (March 15, 2023) Challenge Goal: 15 lbs in 100 days Ultimate Goal: 50 lbs in one year (or less!) I was wondering how often to weigh myself. I realize the first month includes losing a bit of water weight. I am mindful that it could take longer than three…
  • Certain foods are low calorie while being filling. Whole grains like oatmeal, brown rice; veggies with a lot of fibre like broccoli or green beans; fruit like apples and pears, etc. Warm drinks also tend to keep hunger at bay, more so than cold water. Herbal teas for example, unsweetened mint tea is a nice pick me up.
  • Hi from Ontario, Canada. I’m 50 and my goal is to lose 50 pounds this year (starting at 210 lbs., 5’4”). I’m hoping to lose a pound a week. I’ve been using the app for a few days now and already find it very helpful. I was basically eating pretty healthy at mealtime but my snacking has been way overboard. I think this app…
