  • Been missing in action. Haven't swum much since the masters games - super busy at work and strangely lacking in energy.   • My training doesn't burn excessive calories as I'm quite small build. I do allow for training but don't eat them all back. At 48 I'm still getting faster and just came away with 13 gold medals at the New Zealand Masters Games so I'm pretty sure my performance isn't being impaired lol.
  • I think what puts me off high fat is that I like to eat good sized meals and fat is so calorie dense which = less quantity. Right now I probably average a 40P 40C 20F split.
  • My daily goal is only 1200 (for medical reasons re low metabolism) so I can easily get in a high proportion of protein. Will look up that diet mentioned. Wanting something sustainable and that will work for my competitive swimming training.

  • Nope it's just a straight 33m pool. 33.3 could be forgiven but this is daft! 2000m yesterday in the only short break during work.
