Take a look at the app "Just Fit". Good ideas on that app

Find something you enjoy doing, and keep goals realistic and managable. You cannot expect someone who just started jogging to run a marathon. Even taking a walk for 20 minutes a day is something that will help your cause. When your get used to it, then you can add more.

Welcome aboard! The best thing to remember is that you will do better by not aiming to be perfect. There will be days you overeat thay calorie limit or not want to get on that treadmill. This is a marathon and not a sprint. Be good to yourself with grace and kindness and strive to take it one day at a time

103 is just a meaningless number without knowing your height and how much you want to lose. I agree with the response that 103 could be right for you. Or if you are taller than 5 feet 103 may be underweight.

I try to tap into some graciousness and thank the person. It is my responsibilty to decide what to do with the advise

I think talking to your doctor would be beneficial

I think touching base with your doctor would be beneficial

The devil is in the details regarding sleep issues, so its hard to give effective suggestions. That being said a good start is to avoid day naps and go to bed at night and get out of bed in the mornings roughly the same time to start normalizing a sleep pattern.

I agree with sollyn23l2: you could highly benefit from finding other ways, more healthy ways, to cope. Emotions give life a rich texture, and that's wonderful. Emotional overeating is all about chasing that dopamine fix. Practicing mindfulness, acceptance, and maybe even therapy are options.

I have found a great app that I have found useful : Just Fit. Look at it and see what you think

A weight loss goal is just a number unless you have a concept of a person's weight as it is, height, age, ect. A 15 pound weight loss for some adult weighing 80 pounds is far different than a 263 pound adult looking to lose 15 pounds. What I am saying is the devil is in the details. Unless more details are provided,…

Yes. We strive to be helpful and supportive on this community board. That being said, I think the most helpful thing for you to hear is to speak to your doctor because this, frankly, is a medical issue. Binge eating, restrictive eating, and yo yoing weight can cause serious issues and consequences.

Ditto. The simple fact is this: losing weight takes effort and it takes time. There are no short cuts that last long or are particularly healthy. Work with people who have gone (and graduated) from medical schools for options to treat health issues. Don't rely on commercials with happy people dancing around to base health…

Even Dr Now on that 600 pound life show never prescribes a diet less than 1200/day. Just saying....

I think this post points out not so much of an issue of weight loss/gain, but bigger picture self care and taking appropriate breaks during the day.
-
Welcome. Is there a specific issue that you need support with?

When I get cravings, for ANY of my "devil foods" (cake, pies, fast food) I make ot a point to grab fresh fruit (apple, pear, peach, whatever) and water. That seems to do the trick for me.

I, too, am a bored eater. I have to be mindful to determine if I am hungrey because I really am hungry or boredom. If the answer is boredom I DO SOMETHING to change my situation. Clean, go for a walk, play with the pet, paint, underwater basket weaving...anything to stop that bored feeling.

Hello and wecome! Are you thinking of this as a sprint? If you are, it helps to do a reframe: you are in a marathon. It may take some time to really see notable progress. Your body's adjusting to the changes, and any change can confuse the body. Give it time to learn that your are changing some things up.

First of all, congrats on that impressive weight loss. That is inspiring! I second the idea of seeing a plastic surgeon to remove that skin.

Just finished Cormac McCarthy's "The Orchard Keeper". Debating my next read. Maybe "We Used to Live Here"

I'm an advocate of the idea that calorie counting means little if not coupled with some type of regular exercise. If you are exercising, maybe add another day of it to the week, and/or add another 15 to 20 minutes to the workout. Also, i had a dietician recently tell me exercising an hour after a meal will drop your blood…

We are social animals. It is very natural to want to be liked. However I will second what claireychn074 stated...don't pin happiness just on that. Focus on being a decent human being with pride in yourself. That may include for many people, including you, being as healthy as you can be.
