Losing weight is more about changing how you are eating rather than exercise. Exercise is important, but your diet (the way you eat, not what you are on) is far more important. I am disabled so my ability to exercise is limited. i'm currently tapping my feet as I type. Just try to figure out what is going to work in your…

Welcome Chelsea. Start by making little changes. Research the places you are going out to eat to find the lower calorie meal. You don't have to exercise to lose weight, but it is good to do if you are capable. I am disabled and limited in the amount of exercise I can do. I used to love walking. Now I am moving as much in…

Welcome to mfp. When You only have 10 pounds to lose the progress is going to be slow. You don't have as much room for a calorie deficit. I would focus on enjoying the journey knowing that you will get to your goal when you get to your goal. The important thing is that you are healthy.

It was a lovely breakfast. 1 bite of a garlic bread stick 1 andies chocolate 1 spicy shrimp 2 stuffed peppers, lettuce and the left over bell pepper. Normally I would bake the stuffed peppers but today I microwaved them. It make…

thanks for clarifying. I am limited in my ability to exercise so I have never included it as a factor for anything. And my memory is crap so remembering why they changed their formula was a bit difficult.

It is possible to drink soda and lose weight. You just need to switch to zero calorie sodas. I drink coke zero and water with a berry flavor added to it. I think you have alot going on. It might get to be overwhelming. Just make simple changes. One or two each week. That will give you time to learn about what you need to…

Hello Sammi. Congrats on the start of your weight loss journey. Just take one day at a time and you'll do fine.

I was born with a genetic disorder that makes exercise difficult. I just started fidgeting. I try to keep my legs in some sort of constant movement even while I am sitting. I am not expecting it to have a huge impact but it doesn't take much motivation or energy so perhaps it will help you. Just take each day at a time and…

I don't know when mfp changed they way they calculate base calories. I think they used to be tdee but now base calories on activity not including exercise. So you might want to reset your goals without exercise and see what it comes up with. Or you could include your stats and someone can crunch numbers to see if what they…

the formula mfp uses has changed. but without knowing your stats and how much weight you wanted to lose per week, it would be impossible for anyone to crunch numbers to verify that it is reasonable.

You have to learn to take the scale with a grain of salt. It is normal to celebrate when it goes down and hard to not worry about it when it goes up or doesn't move. I usually weight myself every day (not this week. I had a bad day monday and don't want to see the scale as I work to mitigate it. ) But I only keep the week…

They no longer show the total lost on your home page. I haven't found anywhere that it is shown. I keep track of my total in an excel spread sheet. For me mfp is a place to track my food and communicate with people who are also working on their health. I used mfp a long time ago and am a creature of habit so the few other…

I try to be active in the category section but my favorite group is my own. I tend to get overwhelmed by really long threads that have gone on for awhile or get a lot of comments quickly (which is a good thing). It is the reason I don't use the 200+ group thread. I am sure it is wonderful, my brain just nopes out. is my…

Make changes you can sustain for the rest of your life. Take it one day at a time and don't worry about being perfect. Good luck.
