  • Week 3 Day 2 Started babysitting my 4mo granddaughter today (3 days a week). Today was a long one cuz they went out for a fun night after work. But my dear DIL bought groceries just for me so their fridge is stocked with some of my faves, tomatoes, strawberries, and Greek yogurt. Gotta get up to speed bringing my laptop…
  • Week 3, Day 1 Strive for 5 check-- banana, grapes, carrots, celery, salad, and yummy roasted bell pepper Water -- 8/8 Cardio -- 55 minutes Calories -- 37 in the bank Alice is such a cool character, I want to be her! Some of her many talents (from Eclipse, the graduation): "What was she thinking about, anyway? To keep you…
  • Well, my first thought after reading Yvonne's suggestion that we share a random Twilight quote or whatever, was that I would do the random flip open and point method of finding a random quote, from Eclipse, and this is what I landed on: "Your lips are still blue," he mused. "Want me to warm those up for you, too? You only…
  • Sorry to be "out to lunch" on posting, but I did finish the challenge. Just to summarize, I was at or above on water, over on cardio minutes, did the 7 sets of wrist/ankle exercises (Those are great! Need to keep as regular de-stressor!!) and the banking helped but I ended the week 46 calories overdrawn. I have to say all…
  • Days 1-3 Sorry, ladies, I've had some projects keeping me from getiing on the website. Kept logging, but with mixed progress. • Week's End: Water 100% Cardio 381/109 Crunches 120/96 Food +18 calories Yay, I loved reading the quotes (yes Twi, Carlisle is amazing!) and look forward to next week's challenge. I think banking is paying off! Looking at a week's calories really seems like a good idea, because it's liberating while giving you incentive to…

Angrily, I…

  • Day 1 Water 10/8 Cardio 62/109 Crunches 24/96 Food 14 calories in the hole But thanks to shell, I've got more motivation than ever! "His eyes missed nothing."
  • Yes, it does sound fun to be doing a Twi-hard Challenge again! And I love that it starts on Edward & Bella's Anniversary. "The date is set"!
  • I think those are great ideas. A weekly exercise x100 sounds like a real challenge, but I think it would put some sparkle back in my face (sweat) during exercise. The banking of calories sounds interesting, especially as this week I'm trying to atone for splurging yesterday by (hopefully) being under for the week what I…
  • I know what you mean! Being at home all day, often sedentary, helped me put on 15 (more) pounds in the first few months after I stopped working full time. I have to leave the house for workouts and walks, and I try to structure my meals and especially my snacks. Good luck!
  • Keep up the good effort, you're doing great! Like you, I've spent much of my life trying to stick to a diet, but each new diet I started, I was at a higher weight at the start than the one before! I found MFP so doable. For once I've had success beyond a few pounds weight loss, and am continuing mfp in maintenance. Best of…
  • What an awesome difference already!! I am sure you will keep going strong, because you're looking great! Congratulations and best of success to you!!
  • I would recommend eating back your calories. I get that you want to lose weight faster, but will you maintain that diet/ exercise regimen when you have reached your weight goal? If you suddenly stop exercising because you're at goal, then eventually you'll start the whole weight gain process again. Don't diet drastically.…
  • From February to June ???? That is awesome progress and you now look positively skinny, girl! Congrats!!
  • Good ideas here. I need some too as I'll be away from home most of a month in the fall. (My guys, though not on a diet, shouldn't eat pizza EVERY night!) So I was thinking to have aluminum pans, like mini loaf or small cake size, with cooked meatloaf, chili, goulash, shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, etc. Now I need ideas…
  • I don't think it's a good idea. A lot of us here on MFP have tried all sorts of drastic diets over the years only to put the weight (and more) back on. Don't submit to the tyranny of the scale or think you should be losing several pounds a week.It doesn't work for permanent weight loss, cuz that torture only makes you want…
  • You are doing great. The weight loss may slow as you continue on this journey, so be sure to log other non-scale victories like your measurements, increased strength, and positive comments!! Here's to you!:drinker:
  • Awesome! You are looking good-- so strong, happy and healthy! You look like you're there! ;-)
  • 4809.6 + 34 =4843.6 and the day is not over with yet!
  • I hear you. Staying home while being good is difficult!! So many temptations to sit around and to eat all the time! What has been a godsend to me has been meeting a friend for exercise a few times a week. If you can't do that with a baby in the house, stroll her around the neighborhood or dance or run in place at home.…
  • You've gotten lots of good ideas here, about changing your weight-loss goal to 1/2 pound per week and upping the calories and protein. I changed my macros to up my protein to 20%, which is hard for me to meet, but when I do I feel less hungry. I also eat fats from nuts, peanut butter, and whole milk! (Those keep me happy,…
  • I recently set my goals to 50%c, 30%f, 20%p and feel so much better satisfied and less hungry when I reach my protein goal (which is still a struggle).
