Today is the 64th b'day of Curt Smith, co-singer & bass player from Tears for Fears. Their few hits are a bit dated & overplayed now thanks to commercials, but my fave song was always The Hurting.

TY so much! Have fun at the parade if you go! Glad your team won.

Have 3 interviews this week, all for different jobs/fields, different states. Fingers crossed I get an offer. #1, tomorrow at 10am via phone. #2-3, Wed-Thurs via Teams.

If I stocked up on peanut butter, I'd eat it all. 😕 Gained my 1st 10-lbs on PB toast.

Studying. I've got 3 interviews this week, 2 via Teams. Guess that means I've got to get up early to primp so I can look like an actual girl. Fingers crossed.

I'm in FL. I feel your pain. But, I do hope you have a restful rest-of-the-day.

Indeed. I'm one of those who is too much in my head, so I have to remind myself to stop for a bit. An hour lunch is a necessity for me… I can't wolf down a sandwich in 4 bites & return to the grind. I need to empty my brain, eat slowly, watch the colors around me… color seems to take me out of work-mind. Fortunately, the…

Haha. Good q. I may need another, or a walk in 100-degree heat… before articulation kicks in. 😊 Your q actually reminds me of the movie, Koyaanisqatsi… the Hopi word meaning life out of balance. I have found that when accidentally juxtaposing tasks in my morning ritual that it throws me out of balance & I forget to do…

Ah, you do you, as the kids like to say. And, forgive my sneaky hug in response to your response. 😁 No fear… I've bathed today & am gentle on skeletons.

Sonic Youth's drummer, Steve Shelley's 63rd b'day is today. I'm a newcomer to SY, after listening to the audiobook of Kim Gordon's auto-bio (where she seemed to like absolutely no one but her acquaintance, Kurt Cobain)… I like 70-80s US/UK punk journals, reading about influential or flicker-in-time bands I've never known.…

Drank 2 espressos & pondering life choices. Usually that happens before 2 espressos so I guess today's a special day.

Nice! Sounds like fun. I've seen some episodes on YTube, as well as Soul Train. I've also been watching old episodes of Rhoda on YTube, too. Temporarily staying with relatives & there's no TV, so I'm trying to find free things online. It's a show that's more than a bit dated & un-PC now (surely, they'd be cancelled by…

I love lap swimming. Haven't been in years now but can't wait to begin again someday soon. My dream would be an endless pool, but I'm a lifelong apt dweller. Maybe someday (fingers crossed) I'll live in an actual house & can have an endless pool. First I'll have to find a bf with a house, then hope for the best. 🤭

I'm not the huggy type, especially when being introduced to strangers. I'm used to having people crunch my bones, even with handshakes, so a hearty, "Nice to meet you" or head nod is all I need. Yesterday, I met a relative of my brother's wife, who hadn't bathed in days… he was out in the FL sun working all day, soaking…

Today's Todd Rundgren's 77th b'day. Here's a live performance (remember those) of "Hello, It's Me" on The Midnight Special. Before my time, but a nice song…

Hi Kerstin… Just wanted to share my perspective. Weight loss is a new venture for me & I'm loving it. A bio-blurb: I currently have 25-lbs to lose, after an incident 3-1/2 yrs ago where 14 bones were broken… the long recovery meant no exercise at all, no walking. Now that I'm newly out of pain, I'm looking at food in a new…

Please let one of the jobs I'm interviewing for come through with an offer. It's going to take 3-4-5 wks, given all the follow-up interviews. My living situation is so traumatizing, it's getting hard not to run to a hotel… but, I can't afford it. I'm hanging in there… Universe, pull through for me, please.

I'd like a 3rd party to pic the next one. I can't seem to see passed my attraction. I see nothing but flashing neon signs once I smarten up & leave & can't understand how I saw none of them beforehand, given how many there were.

Listening to the thunder that sounds like a truck hitting the house… no rain, no lightning. Just daily thunder in the panhandle.

A cold rotisserie chicken at Winn Dixie for $2. I don't normally eat them… too salty & an over-abundance of seasonings that aren't my preference… but, I couldn't pass up the price.

Well, since Lana Del Ray was born today, Summertime Sadness, a haunting song & video…
