  • I'm not a gym rat so I got a trainer for my bike. It sits in my living room and when I watch tv I ride. I even for a Spinnerval DVD with some pretty intense workouts on them.
  • Erine, where do I find the info on HIIT. Interested in reading what they say.
  • Most of the time it's de-conditioning of the muscle. If you push the calf to fast it will get sore very easily because it is small and your exerting a lot of force on it. Also has to do with stretching. You need to stretch it often. Start be stretching it every morning. Then before your walks. After 5 minutes of walking do…
  • Well I'm hoping to be able to add something here. Just found out I have compartment syndrome in my calf and it makes it painful to run distance. So I'll be envious for a while.
  • Welcome to the site. Everyone here is extremely supportive. Portion size is a biggie that got me. I had to reduce my size and amounts. Your diet and to keep moving are most important. Go for a 45 minute walk each day will really help. Best of luck

  • Welcome. As for logging you food, if it's not listed then you can add it. I have added several items on here for my log. When you go to enter the food to search, right next to that is the option to enter a food not listed. Keep you container from the food and use the product label to enter all of the information. It's…

  • Rome wasn't built in a day. Oh those famous words. It will take time to take off as it took time to put on. Stick with it and the rewards will be abound.
  • lol, it's not easy to get out of bed and jump right into a workout. It all started when the alarm went off at 5:00AM and I turn the alarm off. I thought to myself, "I'm still tired and do I really need a morning workout, what was I thinking". Then while laying there that first morning I said to myself "that's an excuse".…
  • I also agree to getting a heart rate monitor. I suggest Polar. They have a wide range and are the very best. Also if you go to the gym most of the cardio machines have Polar receivers built into them. All you would have to do is wear the chest band. I had a friend do Slim in 6 and she had some great result. Most will have…
  • I do the Power 90 right now and will eventually graduate to P90X. Check out Turbo Jam. I'm considering getting it myself for a different workout.
  • This was taken from Beach body forum.. Posted 01-11-02 08:41 PM BEACH BODY NUTRITION & WEIGHT LOSS The Easy Six Week Diet Transition In some ways, changing your diet is similar to making a successful resolution in that it's conceptual at first. Your long-range goal should just be to eat well. As your healthy eating…
  • Thanks, I do have a strong mindset so it does make it somewhat easier to make the choices for eating and training. Getting divorced at the end of the year so I have a lot of free time which you don't. Something I learned along the way with food is that it's hard to change your eating habits in one day. Make small changes…
  • For my eating I've gone to 5 times a day. Breakfast, AM snack, Lunch, PM snack and Dinner. No eating three hours before bed and lots of water. For the food I've limited what I eat to the top two tiers of Michi's Ladder. It's a food catagorizer that lets you see where the foods are that you are eating. If you eat from the…
  • Hi everyone. Like everyone here I'm trying to lose weight and get healthy. I've decided to change my life and be happier. Like most here my weight has been somewhat lopsided. Easy to put on and hard to take off. So I've made the changes in my life to beat this. I've always been able to accomplish anything I put my mind to…
