  • I watched the Horizon programme almost eight weeks ago, and my husband and I have been doing the 5:2 version for the last 7 weeks. I've lost eight kgs, as has my husband, his psoriasis has virtually disappeared, and we both feel great. We mostly watch what we eat the rest of the time too, with at least one "cheat day" at…
  • "Why can't you work more??? You must not be working very much if you only make $400 a month... Work more hours or get a better job. Buy your own food." Really?! Is that the best you can do? Are you trying to be supportive? The OP is working and studying - you don't even know her hourly rate, and you're telling her to work…
  • I loved that show! And the recipes looked fantastic!

  • I remind myself of what I've already eaten that day - it makes me feel more satisfied and less hungry.
  • Hey there, and welcome! I think, that apart from the value to be had from the calorie counter, and as a nutritional tracking device, the best thing about this site is the community. It is great to be amongst so many supportive, positive people, especially on days when you feel completely demotivated. So stay, and enjoy…
  • "Honestly, I really don't care if HCG has anything to do with it or not." Why don't you try doing the diet without it then? It would be cheaper, and there would be less risk of hormonal side effects. And now for something completely different...…
  • 7490 + my 16 = 7506! What a great idea!
  • Here are two things to consider: when you eat carbohydrates it helps to go for the whole-grain, unprocessed ones to stop your sugar levels from spiking. So - dark bread (as dark as you can get it), wholegrain pasta and rice, quinoa, etc. The other thing is to maybe eat less calories at dinner, so you can have more earlier…
  • The BBC Good Food website has lots of fabulous recipes - not necessarily raw food, but wonderful vegetarian, vegan, low-calorie or law-fat recipes. Here's the link: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/content/recipes/vegetarian/ Have fun! Oh, and an inspiring book to read is Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver
