  • and the fun begins.....
  • I had made a goal of 11.5 by end of year so this sounds awesome! Count me in!
  • lost and gained much weight over the years and honestly I keep doing it over and over because I LOVE FOOD! I love to eat. I eat when I'm happy, I eat when I'm sad, I eat when I entertain, I eat when I'm alone. I can eat lunch now, and my mouth wants to eat again in an hour.....not that I'm hungry, I just will smell…
  • Oh yea! Someone else just like me. I ran my first mile a two weeks ago and have been so proud of myself! I thought I must be insane for being so proud over what seems like a simple task to everyone else in the world. Glad I can now feel like I'm not the only one!
  • To finish is to WIN! Who care's where you place, as long as you finish the race. Work on YOUR best time and stop comparing yourself to everyone else.
  • Turn it around a bit. Your body is in debt. Because of the overindulgence in eating food that is unhealthy, your body is sinking further and further into despair. This kind of eating will cause your immune system to be compromised over time and you will end up being sick more often, maybe even losing precious days where…
  • HAPPILY married for 24 years (this January!)
  • I have the BodyMedia and know that it works! When I use it, it does a great job (just like when I count calories, I loose weight). I've never had a problem with it syncing to my computer but my computers only about 4 years old. However, I still use MFP to log my food and just put the "total" into the BodyMedia sight every…
  • I just accomplished my first triathlon and I am far from athletic. My friend and I got t-shirts and had someone put on the back the quote "To Finish Is To Win" and we proudly accomplished it. It really doesn't matter where you finish, just that you do!
  • Tea! It doesn't matter what "flavor" it is, whether it's cold or hot or sweetened or not....I just don't care for it.
  • I just recently started biking and although it was hard to get started, I am really enjoying it. Plus according to my bodymedia I burn a lot more calories biking!
  • Fuddruckers 1/3 lb bacon, cheeseburger with fries Instead had their veggie burger with a side salad
  • pedicure, facial, tanning package, massage, new clothes, jewelry, weekend getaway, etc lots of mini rewards, but I thought I need to make some maintenance rewards to.... Whenever it happens, I plan on making goals for maintaining my weight for a specific time period. For now though, I still have a lot to lose so I will…
  • Breakfast: Orange Lunch: Quaker Rice Snacks Dinner: Mushrooms Snack: Tootsie Rolls I've only logged tootsie rolls twice as a snack and I know I've eaten tons of oranges for snack so I'm not sure how accurate that #1 spot is.
  • Please see a doctor! With that said, I remember when I first started working out, I couldn't do more than 3 minutes on the elliptical without feeling like I was going to faint. I have since, little by little built up my endurance and can now do 35 minutes and probably more if I tried. However, my father just recently found…
  • Great visual! Thanks!!
  • Yeah, I was just thinking that my dad who is a diabetic has to watch his cheese intake because it spikes his blood sugar..... don't know if low fat is any different than regular, but it does have sugar
  • I'm no expert, but I've been using the BodyMedia Fit armband for a couple month now. I love it. It seems to do a great job of tracking my activity level. I've lost 20lbs so I think it's working pretty good. I would like to hear other opinions as well though...
  • I was 9 or 10 and took a gymnastics class. The instructor was teaching us all to do a one handed cartwheel and we were in line and as each child moved forward to do the cartwheel he would reach out and help them by holding onto their waist and slowly moving through the cartwheel with them to provide the support. When he…
  • I can see a difference! I was once told that you and others won't really notice your weight loss until you've lost 10% of your body weight. For you, that is pretty close, but for others it could be 30 pounds before anyone even notices. This makes it hard sometimes because we want quicker results, but I'm guessing that in…
  • I exercise about 45-50 minutes, 5 days a week. Got in an extra hour the other night walking so on this day, April 5th, I'm at 4 hours done!
  • 43 and I can never have too many people on my friends list to help lift and inspire me! Hope I can do the same for you!! Feel free to add me.
  • Thank you for posting such a personal story. You are inspiring!
  • I am so glad I kept going on the elliptical. It was a hard morning with my legs feeling like Jello when I started, but I did my full workout anyway and now feel on top of the world!
  • feel free to add me!
  • Awesome answer! When I was pregnant I got the huge horrible bear claw type stretch marks on my stomach and I only gained 12 pounds my entire pregnancy! My doctor said that it's ALL genetics. Some people have great elasticity and some don't. Be proud of your skin! I'm preaching it, and working on attaining it!
  • I was just eating my very first helping of this when I saw your post. I think you're right, 0% potassium. Here's a site I found: http://yogurt-nutrition.findthebest.com/q/482/2461/How-much-potassium-is-in-a-serving-of-Fage-0-Greek-Plain-yogurt Interesting. I grabbed it because of the protein value though, so...... not sure…
  • I microzap it to spoon it out into "spaghetti". Then I saute some mushrooms, onions and garlic, and mix in with some reduced fat alfredo sauce (ragu). Mix it all together and you have DELICIOUSNESS!
  • You could become rich off of this idea. Better copyright it before someone steals it.
  • Just a different perspective. Why not go to the Dr? Ask him to do blood work so you can see your cholestrol numbers. Know your blood pressure, etc., check for things that might be a concern. If for no other reason, you would have something to compare to when you are closer to your goal. I don't think it hurts to go in and…
