  • I have the negative calories set too and I feel like something is way off. On days where my Apple Watch says I burnt 2500 calories and a have logged around a 30 minute of workout, I end up with around a 50 calorie adjustment. Then a lazy day with no workout and only 1900 calories burned, I got 4. Six hundred calorie…
  • I am planning on starting on 1/9. Waiting for my power blocks to arrive!
  • I still eat it with an egg but I make quinoa with peppers and onion with an over easy egg on top.
  • You may mean heavy lifting but I am doing P90X right now and Beachbody has a calculator. So for someone who is 137 on the Chest and Back workout that is around 60 minutes they say 385 calories are burned. So I log 300. I am only 5'1 and MFP only gives me 1200 calories so I always eat my exercise calories back.
  • Fitbit does not sync up correctly half the time for me so I just follow MFP. Right now I have over 10k steps for today and my adjustment was -333. I keep trying to fix it but I never ate the calories back from it anyway so I kind of just ignore it. I will eat exercise calories back but I either use my polar HRM or estimate…
  • It was about a year after my second child. I have always had a low self esteem and was just tired of feeling olsorry for myself. Hated how I looked and with two kids, felt like there nothing I ever did for me. So I started with Jillian Michaels. After losing 20 lbs I was hooked. My husband and I did the C25K together next.…
  • I honestly usually still workout during a cold. I find once I get moving I feel okay. I would not do it if I had nausea or a fever but colds I have a hard time letting a cold put me out. I workout at home though. I would not spread my germs all over a gym.
  • I always did workout DVDs or run when my kids were younger. Mine did not wake as easily though. I lived in TX until recently and would take the kids in a jogger. I think my youngest may have been over one at the time but I finished C25K with him in the jogging stroller. I would run in the mornings when it was coolest.
  • I have not reached a flat stomach but I do know one woman who had one c section that has a six pack. She works out all the time and she eats extremely healthy so I do know it can be done.
  • Not sure how much you have to invest. I have ChaLean Extreme and was able to get by with getting some adjustable weights at Walmart a couple years ago for pretty cheap. The set can be adjusted to 8, 15, and 20 lbs and you can get additional plates to get 13 and 18 lbs and 20+. I bought them years ago and as I was able to…
  • I only let my 5 1/2 year old in a stroller for something like Disney because the days are long. I can say she is lazy though and always tries to get out of walks. My four year old son is a ball of energy and he is always up for a walk. We just make her go and once we start, she is usually fine and just talks my war off the…
  • When I started, I ate all my exercise calories back and it worked out perfectly fine. Lost 30 lbs with no weighing anything and eating all my calories back. For me, MFP already had me at 1200 so I felt like I would not sustain by not eating them back. I still eat them back but I have a harder time not going over this last…
  • TurboFire is my favorite but it is total cardio. I am finishing up a round of ChaLEAN Extreme and I found combing that with TurboFire and Piyo to be a perfect combo. Starting P90X next week but it is long and I am not looking forward to it yet. Someone gave it to me though so I figured why not give it a go. Outside of BB I…
  • I printed out a workout schedule and it is hanging in my office. I usually follow 90 day programs so I have a three month schedule. This had made it an obligation for me. I have to be really sick to miss a workout. Just crossing off a day complete gives me satisfaction. If you stick with it long enough, you just get used…
  • My usual go-to options are Greek yogurt with berries and some granola, eggs and toast or an omelet, oatmeal, or quinoa with a fried egg.
  • Nuts are the most depressing thing about weighing! I lost the first 20 lbs or so not weighing anything. I finally got a scale and now only weigh nonpackaged food and I have found no issues losing weight not measuring packaged foods when I actual keep within my calories. I do not eat a lot of prepackaged foods though.
  • I have a beagle so I have to tell him "let's go" every two minutes. I can still get a decent walk in but some days are more trying than others.
  • I struggle so much with stress eating. My three year old has been a nightmare and I find myself too often reaching into the dark chocolate cover blueberries I got at Costco a couple weeks ago. What do you do when you can't walk away from the thing stressing you out?
  • I know when I run and use my HRM, Map My Run was always slightly less.
  • I plan on starting in the beginning of June since my brother in law gave me his copy at Christmas. I am doing ChaLEAN Extreme to kind of prep a little for it. I know someone on my feed is doing it right now so there are still some people out there.

  • I just use a cheap arm band from Target. It works fine if you do not have to mess with your phone while running.
  • I was thinking this thread would not include someone as short as me! What were you eating to lose and at what rate did you lose?
  • I feel you. I can be an endless pit and not only rarely feel full, I crave things. I still have a day a week sometimes I overdo it a bit but a few weeks ago, I just told myself no more snacking. I have two young kids and for the holidays there is always candy around. They can only have a piece two nights out of the week so…
  • Jillian Michael's actually did an interview with him on her recent podcast and he really glossed over the idea of calorie reduction to lose weight. In his opinion as long as you are eating healthy fats, you won't eat as much because you are full. After she hung up with him she kept going about how important watching…
  • This may be a silly question but does your body recognize all these phases during the same time frame when on birth control? Mine is starting any day now and between that and lifting today- I just can't eat enough! I like the idea of just maintaining during those days and maybe that would have prevented the bingeing I did…
  • Turbo Fire is my favorite. You can modify it and not jump (each workout had a modifier to watch for low impact). It is total cardio though. Right now I am doing ChaLEAN Extreme and mixing in PIYO and Turbofire on some of the non-lifting days. You do need some weights or resistant bands for ChaLEAN Extreme. I use a lot of…
  • A little over three. I think I could make it four but never have tried. I am not sure if I want to do more or not but if I do it will be when I can stick to a training schedule and not have to use a stroller. I completed the C25K over two years ago with a stroller and would do maybe one or two three mile runs a week after…
  • Thankfully I was able to return them. I bought them at Dick's so there was no advice when I bought them. I went down to a running store and found out that I should not be running on the GTS 16 at all since I do not need the stability it offers. I guess I just got lucky when I bought my 13s years ago. I will definitely go…
  • From what I remember, I think coming directly out of BR would not be too bad. She does not ease into the plyo like she did in BR.
  • That is a sweet story! I hope you keep feeling better and better each day!
