I'm in the same boat but I can't eat too many banannas because I've got prediabetes. Thanks for all the input and keep it coming. I do take a supplement daily but that's only 99 mg.

I log everything that goes in my mouth except vitamins/medication including water. If you don't hold yourself accountable it's too easy to continue to "cheat".

I started at 268. I'm down to 200. My goal is 168 but supposedly I should be under 155. I'll be happy with 168 or below. So 32 lbs to go. Don't hold your breath. That's the worst thing you can do. Tightening your core means sucking it in but breathing at the same time. It's kind of like convincing your muscles to go where you eventually want them to be (like behavior modification).

I LOVE Zumba. I go 3-4 times a week. It's a blast (if you aren't having fun find another class). The peoplea are great and it's an awesome workout. I've lost 50 lbs since doing zumba.

Drink more water. When you feel like munching drink water. Also dont' buy snacky foods (only fruits and veggies). Out of sight out of mind. If you have an office job and your desk is full of snacks, get rid of them. I've found these things have helped me cut down on snacking tremendously.

You've come to the right place. Setting your goals here and tracking what you eat will help tremendously. And adding exercise even if it's just walking will help. Just jump right in, set your goals and track daily. You'll do great !

yes, too much calcium causes serious constipation and dry skin. Your body can only absorb so much in a period of time and it needs to get rid of it somehow so it tends to dry out your body inside and out.
