Am really having no luck here. Usually you MFP'ers love to give out advice! No takers?

Guys, how I wish you lot all lived near me and we could all go to the same sweaty red-faced gym together and not care!! I hate hate hate it - it happens to me when running outside also - but I think there is nothing for it but to TRY and not be embarrassed. It is good to hear people say it gets better over time - I…

Thanks guys. I know I just need to get the f over it but I find it soo hard! I was actually thinking of trying some of those anti-redness creams or make-ups that people with rosecea use?? Vanity gone mad, I know, but maybe worth a try??

I agree - lose the incline. If you are not able to run for more than 15 minutes then you are not advanced enough for an incline. Also - you sound a lot like me - I too have asthma and struggled massively to run but can now complete 10K. My advice may be cliched but it is true: the first 15-20 minutes are the hardest. After…

Thanks so much for finding and posting this

Am going to bump this one last time before I give up!!
-
Bump. Anyone else?
-
How do I calibrate it and how does that work?! Sorry for dumb questions but am very new to this...

I am realising Saturday morning's are a rubbish time to get a question answered! It is the middle of the night in the USA and here in the UK no one is at work killing time on MFP; they're all out running!! LOL!
-
Ok - perhaps I misunderstood you and we have veered off the point a bit. The main point I was making I that whilst I care what people think and want to look my best, it doesn't mean that I spend every night out desperate to be approached by men to be told how great I look!! There are genuinely a lot of guys who get so…
-
You are missing the point entirely. Of course women care about what they look like and like to look nice but a man thinking a women looks nice does not create an obligation for her to spend time talking to him / date him!!!! There is a certain type of man out there that seems to think that everything a woman does is geared…

Don't buy sweet stuff to keep in the house. If you are "binging" then you must have access to a significant quantity of the kind of foods you struggle with. I am the same and have learned if it is there I will eat it, if it isn't I won't.
-
In the UK they 100% run small and you are always recommended to buy a half size bigger. Am sure this is something to do with international sizing regs or something, so doesn't mean it is the same in the US. The UGG Australia US website should have a sizing guide. If she is only 12, though, and small for her age I would…

Thanks for your reply. I hear what you are saying but I just really struggle to lose, despite tracking everything to within an inch. Perhaps a HRM is the way forward for me

I agree with the poster who enquires as to the accuracy of your logging; are you actually recording the EXACT things you are eating? I ask because you say you live oversees but yet are logging UK brands such as Tesco and Morrisons. Or do you have these stores where you live and I am being ignorant?! Also -re the Bailey's -…
-
I am going to have to disagree slightly with everyone saying how rude it is to ignore someone like this. Perhaps in this instance it was, I wasn't there, but it kinda grates on me this notion that all women on a night out are just there to be chatted up. Quite often I am just happy catching up with my girlfriends. Before…

Ummmm.. what in your mind is the difference between fat and flab??!
-
Are you taking a break between running days?! I know I certainly do my best runs when I have not run for a few days.
-
Just out of curiosity.. and I am sure I will be flamed for this question.... but what kind of weight are these women you are approaching? I do find there are a lot of guys out there who expect that women will take the time to get to know them for them, regardless of their looks, weight etc etc... Yet they only expect this…

Am another advocate of Allen Carr - read the book, ditch the patches and keep reminding yourself why you want to be a non-smoker. I'm a year and a half quit and will never look back. You're in the right place also; replace your smokes with exercise, not food!

Good luck

Something tells me after the removal of 4 wisdom teeth you won't be eating much of anything for a while!

Mystery solved!

There must be differences in size classification as I cannot fathom how a US egg can differ in nutritional content than a British one! We have extra large here also, but one of those bad boys will cost you about 120 calories! Is weird
-
Who says what you are doing is not enough? You have a hugely busy life and have still managed to lose 63lbs!! Don't beat yourself up - you have done amazingly well and no doubt will continue to.
-
This. As far as I know there is no evidence that fast food is PHYSICALLY addictive, the way nicotine, alcohol and drugs are. It sounds to me like you are experiencing extreme anxiety; possibly overcome with fear at the changes you know you need to make to your diet?? Having too lose a lot of weight can probably be quite…

Glad you cleared that up
