I love to strength train and i do belong to a gym and prefer going there... but me and my husband have weights at the house plus i have some pilate dvds etc when i cant get to the gym or just dont want to be at the gym! I superset standing calf raises after squats at smith machine (135 lbs). Then i superset calves on leg press. Other than that cardio days hills and jump rope do wonders!

I found these on Pinterest before. I compared them to "fried pickles" to the kids (since the word zuccini seems to scare children) and they love them. We serve them hot out the oven! yumsos!

I use a 30lb barbell for 3 sets of 10-12 reps. I move to 10lb dumbells for 3 sets of 12-15 reps combining regular curls with hammerfist curls. I would say if its just sore its probably normal. I have had soreness there before from strenuous bicep days. Sometimes you dont realize all the parts of your body that are going to work until they hurt! Im sure it will go away in a couple of days! I also like your description for "elbow pits"! :D
