  • I did another ride this morning. It was the FTP Ride to calculate my FTP. My average watts was 131. My FTP was estimated to be 109. I am a bit out of shape and thought I was going to fall off my bike at the end. It completely wore me out before it got to the FTP portion. Which I guess is how that works. It had me cycling…
  • Yes, until my son was born 8 months ago. Now I have zero time for that ha ha. My wife "appreciates" me riding indoors so I can help out when needed instead of being miles away.
  • My FTP was 85 Watts. So, I guess I am using the information incorrectly. Which is why I came here. I just bought the kickr yesterday.
  • I was going all out and I am in pretty decent shape. I will try to figure out if I've hooked something up wrong. My HRM has really served me well when it comes to MFP.
  • I went two years biking in Group Ride before biting the bullet and buying shoes. My feet used to go slightly numb after every ride. With the Cycling shoes that went away. BUT, even better than that I starting getting better work outs. When cycling, correctly pulling your feet up is just as important as pushing them down.…
  • It also looks like the entry I've always used for bananas is gone. It is out of my recently used foods as well. So weird.
  • Thanks for the help, I've read that post and that is the point of my frustration. I type in Chicken Breast, AS SHOWN in the screen shot and I do not get the same results. I've typed in Chicken - Breast and I do not get good results. It used to pop up immediately. Did they remove a bunch of the non asterisked entries for…
  • When I type in raw chicken breast, this is the only entry that comes up without an asterisk. Chicken, broiler or fryers, breast, skinless, boneless, meat only, raw. I will use that one, but I'm not broiling or frying it. I am starting to try to be more accurate on here and everyone says don't use foods with asterisks.
  • Thanks for the insights! I guess my wife was on the right track again.
  • Yeah, I ended up getting through to a guy. He said I need to fill out Form 107B, but then since it is after April I have submit supplemental Form 537(r). Now once that is complete, I will be in the queue to obtain Form 923(a).
  • I know it is mostly water and I took the two most extreme points I could. One was after a Ripped Class then running for a while so I was pretty dehydrated despite drinking water.(I sweat a TON) 189lbs The other was at the end of the night on Sunday night full of two night of Beer, Brats and Hamburgers and the scale said…
  • I think 1400 calories is totally doable based on the exercise. I bike hard for about an hour a day and can get around 1000 calories based on my Polar HRM. My resting heart is right at 50 bpm and I sustain 165 to 170 bpm for just about the entire hour minus the warm up and cooldown. And swimming is brutal when it comes to…
  • Audible.com. Sometimes I get lost in a good book and I don't even realize I'm running. I listen to all types of books but the best ones are the ones with action. You start to pick up the pace without even knowing it when you are at a particularly exciting part. Like if people are running from zombies or something you might…
  • The test is free through my insurance. Plus they are going to do a bunch of other things like resting Metabolic rate, muscle mass stuff. I plan on peppering them with a lot of HR related questions during the session. Hopefully my answer isn't "Dude, I'm just an intern." Thanks for the info Chunky.
  • I really enjoyed this thread, because I have had many of the same questions. I do Group Ride with a Polar H7 on. For 60 minutes my average HR is 175 with my highest HR being 185. 171 is in the red zone. I have now scheduled with physician to have my HR max checked. Once you get that high on the Polar app it doesn't seem to…
