don't fret fruit unless they are making your carbs too high.. Refined sugars should be limited or eliminated.

I wish I knew. I am leaning toward an omelet.

oh yes. I went into high gear for a vacation. I set myself up to lose 73 pounds in 9 months. Well, I lost 66, pretty darn close. Then after vacation I sort of lost focus and of those 66 pounds I gained back about 20 in 12 months. I am completely refocused now and getting it back off. Believe me it's harder to climb that…

I like keeping a protein bar handy

I lost 66 pounds in 9 months just by changing my diet from junk to lean proteins, fruits, veggies, and cutting out fried food and refined sugars. Because of a special needs child at home and everyone's different schedules my workouts were very few and far between but I did the best I could. So 66 pounds in 9 months was…

I think MFP protein goals are low. I try to get between 80 and 100 per day. There probably is such a thing as too much but I don't know what that number is. I like more protein than MFP recommends because it helps me to stay full longer.

Great job!!! It is good when realizing how far we have come gives us the boost we need to keep going!!

at least it happened at breakfast and you have the rest of the day to make the necessary adjustments. There is a Sonic across the street from my work. I opt for the junior breakfast burrito. The fat and sodium are bummers, but it is very filling and the lesser evil of their breakfast options.

Do not give up. We have all been there. I have just recently started losing again. No loss since January. If you have increased your workouts, it's possible you might need more calories. Don't eat ALL the ice cream. Have a half cup to satisfy your craving. When you feel like giving up, think about how far you have come.…

I estimate to the best of my ability and knowledge and use the recipe builder. And I try to overestimate rather than under to play it safe.

I think it depends upon the person. My sister in law had it done, I watched her. It was not an easy road. Not a road I could take mentally. She did great for a while and did exactly what the doctor said. As time passed she was not as disciplined and gained a lot (not all) of the weight back. She is also suffering from…

This is what I do also, otherwise I could eat an entire container of almonds in a day.

I have been here for a while. I have succeeded, and I have failed, and am now back trying again and this time I will reach my goal and I will not climb this hill again. Forget about dieting, it truly is a lifestyle change. You obviously want that change or you would not be here. Life consumes us sometimes and none of us…

our medical insurance covered my husband to meet with a dietician for his diabetes and then again for his renal failure. You might check if that is an option.

I can not eat small portions of chocolate. A fun size snicker bar is no fun at all to me; it only feeds my craving. So I eat the sugar free chocolate pudding cups or a sugar free fudgsicle.

It's hardest in the beginning. Just keep at it and as you develop new healthier habits it will get easier and easier. To help stay focused on the long term I tell myself this, "Discipline is deciding between what you want most and what you want right now."

I loves my bananas, especially with a tablespoon of peanutbutter (oh wait, I'm not supposed to eat that either  )
