I hate feeling like I can't do it... I feel comfortable with most types of workouts I do, however, jogging is just HARD for me. When I feel like I am giving it my all and not doing as well as I have before is very frustrating! ...and I agree with just getting to the workout. Once there, ok, but getting there can be hard!

If you are in a "spa," I would say yes. However, I went to a clinic and asked the receptionist, along with the technicians. They were all nurses, did more at the clinic than just hair removal, and were paid accordingly. They were not supposed to take tips. I would just ask. No harm in that!

I recently read New Rules of Weight Lifting for Women. The author wrote a book for men also. It explains types of food to eat/why/calories to consume/and gives a 6 month workout between weights and body weight exercises. I get the basics of eat fruits, veggies, protein, less fat, etc. This book gave me a few explanations…

Random note - I CRAVE pickles and I am not pregnant. I have craved them for years. I LOVE the smell of them and the look of the crunchiness but HATE the vinegar taste. I try them regularly as I have found the older I get, my taste buds change... Not for them yet though... Enjoy for me!

Lot's of people use Couch to 5k. However, just google running for beginners, etc. There are so many programs to help you. In short, just start. Run a minute, walk a minute. Or, run 5 walk one for 20 minutes and slowly work up. Don't increase your running by 10% each time running. Don't over do it as you start to run. Look…

Jogging is not easy. The program is great. I started on my own before I heard of it but did a modified version. Just being able to jog short distances or for a set time, etc is great! Feed off the good feeling to keep going! I am now (slow and not comfortable with it) at 5 miles three times a week. It takes me an hour and…

I am interested to see as well. I am new to running - well - jogging. I am slow but have been jogging on and off since the beginning of the year and am at 5 miles but not comfortably yet. When I take time off and start up, my inner knee hurts as well. I kickbox and have the same pain when I take time off there and go back.…

Honestly - that is just a horribly sad commercial. It is probably the most successful commercial I have seen seeking donations...

I am new as of the beginning of the year....because I keep doing well for a while then falling off the wagon. I am determined this time. I have good reasons, other than vain reasons, this time. I fell off today but will be back at it tomorrow. I say we support each other to keep it up!

Thanks for the last two posts. There is a lot of info out there and I am really appreciative for the direction!

Signed up for a 10k... I appreciate the advice and will keep reading other posts to learn more. I likely am more out of shape than your 8 year old but that gives me perspective! Appreciate everyone's input!

I have done the yo yo of losing/gaining and I found when I plateaued, it was because I was not eating enough and doing the same amount of workouts. You need to re-shock your system again... Increase calories again and it will take a week or two, but you will start dropping. Your body is holding on to what it can keep now…
