  • When you are depriving yourself, turn it into a postive statement. Like I want to eat all protein. I want to eat steak and no potatoes. I want to eat string cheese only. I want to eat meat only. I want to eat 1500 calories, etc. Then you won't be so focused on the "can't have" statements.
  • I log everything. If I didn't log the fruits and veggies, then I wouldn't do as much loggin and therefore not have as much fun :)
  • South Beach "high" protein bars. Carbs and protein. no artifical sweeteners and tasty!
  • Yeah, it will probably only taste "fishy" if it was cheap. Get some decent salmon or tilapia and it should not taste fishy. Fish sticks and fried catfish can taste fishy. I think.
  • Get busy in a hobby! Do you like cross-stitching? I do, that keeps me busy if I have to sit around because of a disability or illness. It keeps me from eating. I'm only 32, and I LOVE cross-stitching. It's a secret! Do you like video games? Something to keep you distracted.

  • Water Water Water Water.. you might be dehydrated and confusing hunger for thirst! Seriously, it will help. But you have to make better choices, 2% American Cheese is 50 calories, instead of 100, Get lean ground beef, etc. You have to make better choices by swaping out higher cals for lower cals.   • Direclty from Polar, they say that the watch is not as accurate for calories burned if your heart rate isn't above 110 or 120. I can't remember the exact amount, but it's an amount that you would be hitting if you were at the gym, not just shopping. Were you sweating? Ask Polar.
