  • We tried for years, I was diagnosed with PCOS and then we adopted. I got 2 little bundles of joy through that route. They are every bit mine. I was happy for once, and we quit "trying" - two was enough. I finally lost about 80 pounds and did become pregnant at 40! Our little "surprise" is now four. I firmly believe that I…
  • I will be honest, I didn't know they made adult tricycles. I looked them up and they look like a great option. I would assume that you will work up a sweat while riding. If you have never ridden, I would assume that you will have to build up to longer rides like with any other exercise. I also expect you to have some sore…

  • Never did the official c25k app but remember those early days of running. don't worry about what others think....they can't tell how fast you are going if they are in the house or in a car. don't even worry about others passing you, everyone is on there own page. I have a group of girls I run with....we always say "run…
  • you can add me. I am in Ballwin. Been on MFP for over a year. Watching the snow fall today. :)
  • I agree about the shoes. I also have compression sleeves which help me a lot! I only wear them when running more than 10 miles but sometimes wear them under slacks to work. Good luck, you can do it.
  • I suggest getting fitted for running shoes at a running store. They will usually do it for free. The shoes may be pricey but worth it if you are not in pain. I also have shin pain at time and have compression sleeves for the really long runs (over 10 miles). Hope that helps. You can add me as a friend if you want.

  • I will friend you. I have high blood pressure and don't have restrictions on exercise. I am a runner. Training for my 5th half marathon. I have 3 kids and a full time job so I know finding time to work out is hard. Unfortunately even after loosing 80 pounds I still have to take my meds...I am in the healthy weight range…

  • I want to add to make sure you run or run/walk at your own pace. My friends and I train together but we don't stay together on a race day. Take it at your own speed. Your friends will wait for you at the end if you are slower than they are. Who knows...one day soon you will be waiting on them. :)

  • I lost almost 100 pounds and still have to take bp medicine. Dr. is happy with my weight but says high bp might just be genetic for me. Don't let your numbers discourage you. Keep plugging along. You will eventually feel better even if your numbers don't tell the story.

  • That is incredibly fast for a half marathon! That is a six minute mile!!! Way to go!

  • I won a pair of Brooks shoes so have the RAVENA 3. Then I bought another pair the same because I love them. I think I will look at Brooks for my next pair too. Fit my foot...NIKE is too narrow for me. Fit my pronation and light weight. I do 25-35 miles per week.
  • I was going to say 170??
  • I too had PCOS and struggled with infertility. I know how painful it is. My husband and I decided to give up on TTC and pursue adoption. I have two beautiful adopted children that are every bit a part of my family. After our second adoption, I suffered from some health issues related to my weight. I worked really hard,…
  • i will add you
  • I sent you a friend request.
  • I gave up soda too....twice. I got great results....let it slip back into my life and started to gain so have ditched the diet coke again.
  • I feel your pain. It sounds like you have been doing everything right. I had been stalled or gaining for 6 months. On January 1 I decided that something had to change so I decided to start small. What has worked for me this month is to stop logging exercise...still do it...just don't log it and stay within my calories. I…
