One of the things I do when I am done eating for the night is brush my teeth. It kinds of tells me that I am done. After that I only drink water until I go to bed. Maybe this would help?

Good luck! You can do it!

The first thing I would do is ask your trainer how much of a background he or she has in nutrition. The reason I am pointing this out is because many personal trainers have no background in it, and dietician is the person you should be talking to about nutrition concerns. Second, the suggestions aren't harmful ones. You…

What's more important to me is being healthy... not following in the same footsteps of some of my relatives (who have high cholesterol, heart attacks, diabetes, etc.)

Veggies!!!!

Been there, done that! Man, those things are kinda good... :) I don't know if it is Birdeye but there is one of this steaming "sides" that is barley and veggies, and I've downed that for a quick lunch or dinner before. I wouldn't recommend doing it for meals regularly, but eating something healthy is better than eating…

1.) Fuji apples and peanut butter/almond butter (Justin's Nut Butter is my fav) 2.) Greek Yogurt (any kind really) 3.) Hummus and veggies 4.) Cheese and grapes 5.) Peach "cobbler" - chopped fresh peach mixed with a touch of agave or sugar and cinnamon, microwaved until tender and hot and topped with crunchy granola (For…

That's great. Swimming is awesome for the whole body!

It sounds like you're doing a lot of naturally gluten free foods which is fantastic. The grains are a tough challenge because you want to find ones that are not cross-contiminated with wheat. Some gluten free grains I can suggest would be quinoa, brown rice, wild rice, millet, amaranth, gluten free oats (use a little and…

I think you have the right idea. Using diet soda as a step down from regular soda is a good idea. However, I'm sure you know, diet soda isn't very good for you either. I hope your ultimate goal is to kick the soda habit for good, but that's for another time. :-) I think the best thing is to try out a few different kinds…

That depends on you, your goals and how you feel. I personally tend to eat more carbs in the morning as a way to get myself going and try to get more protein in the evenings because that's generally when I work out. For calories, I eat the most when I am hungriest. Usually, that is also in the morning because when you…

Accomplishment #1. I am 1 pound from my goal weight (puts me right smack in the middle of my BMI range) Accomplishment #2. I have stuck with P90X for the 4th week (I am in the first recovery phase now and looking forward to bringing it for the next 2 months to finall complete the program!)

You look fantastic! And I love your dress!
-
Are we talking canned chickpeas?
-
I always was told in through your nose, out through your mouth to control your breathing while running.
-
Nope, but I would love to!
-
You don't have to eat the P90X plan to get results. Just a suggestion. I am a vegetarian so that plan really doesn't apply to me. I just eat as much as I feel is necessary and try to eat back my exercise calories as best I can.
-
This is good advice. Just as unprocessed as possible.
-
That sounds right to me.

First things first, you may want to check into your local SNAP (formerly food stamps) program. In your situation, you may qualify for assistance. It's supplemental help when buying food, so it's worth checking into. Second, all of these other suggestions have been awesome. I think my suggestions would be quite simple as…

8 stone is only 112 pounds. I'm the same height as you, and that's pretty darn low. Perhaps your goal should not relate so much to the number on the scale but to how you can work on toning the muscles you have.

I can't see your diary, but I don't eat meat and I'm on a 1200 calorie plan as well. And I don't have trouble getting the weight to come off. Perhaps you need some higher intensity workouts to shake things up? I can't really give too many suggestions without knowing much about what you're eating.

I have something with carbs - like OJ.

Adding to my goal....body countouring. It's a 90 minute treatment that helps treat cellulite. A local place is having a special with Living Social so it was only $50 instead of over $100. I bought a voucher, and I'm going to wait until I finish P90X to do it. That'll be my motivation to do every workout until then.

Amaranth grain cooked with chocolate soy milk, then mixed in some coconut and almonds. Mmmmm!

I have heard this too.

I don't know. But I'm glad I don't even like mashed potatoes.

If you know where you are going before you go, check out that company's website if it has nutritional information. A lot of the chain restaurants do. If you have the chance to suggest where to go (in case your friend didn't just call you out of the blue and tell you to come down and hang out) then suggest someplace where…

I don't do six meals, but I do 3 meals and 2 snacks each day (if I can). Breakfast: Toasted whole grain waffles, fresh or frozen berries, almonds Scrambled eggs with veggies and cheese Breakfast shake (ingredients of your choosing) Breakfast sandwich (scrambled tofu or eggs, veggies, English muffin) Snacks: Hummus and…
