  • I thought it was a thread about a film lol. What is the Jacob's Ladder exercise?
  • Day 3 on Level 2. Its getting a bit easier, though I am slacking a lot, still slow getting into each move and my mat keeps moving on the plank jacks - but so far so good. Sweating a lot more than in level 1 and thankfully my calves have gotten a rest from those butt kicks! I'm liking level 2, its different, its harder but…
  • No, not defective. People who remain single for a long time are usually looking for the right person - its an admirable trait in my opinion.
  • Its ok to be concerned, its ok to have rules - but when you don't know the full information about someone it becomes a bit nazi mentality -sorry to put it so harshly. On this site someone at 6 foot and someone at 4 foot tall can both be over weight by the same amount - the taller one can lose 2 pound a week (which is…
  • I'm at that stage where I'm having fights with myself. I used to be able to eat loads of chocolate, and chocolate cake. In my mind I still think that I love those foods, but when I eat them its a different story, they just don't taste that great anymore and they are sickening rather than filling - yet my mind hasn't…
  • Our history as omnivores has developed simply because we could not sustain ourselves on one group of foods - in certain areas vegetation was lush and meat was scarce but in others it was vice versa. Man was an opportunist and probably ate anything edible he came across just to survive. There are still people that live in…
  • I have a HRM and I burn around 250-260 for each level 1 session - which is around about the same burns for my walking workouts - they are 60 minutes long and I burn around 500 cals
  • The first time around I think I made it 3 or 4 days and quit because of a calf injury. I'm now on day 5, my knees and calf are giving me hell but this time I'm going to take the jillian advice 'no injuries please' to heart and any time my knees or calf hurts I'm going to modify a lot! So far I have not been able to do a…
  • Hey my starting stats: Weight 83.9Kg Waist: 36" Fat% 42 I'm not taking other measurements although I probably should but I'm on day 5 now so...
  • Totally agree, the calorie amount should be stated for the entire packet/box as well as per 100g. I also think products which are sold as snacks yet have the same calorie amount as a full meal is quite worrying.
  • seven pounds - cry buckets every time, never gets easier lol.
  • How many times have you tried dieting if you don't mind me asking? Its just that I've been a bit of a yo yo dieter and having tried so many diets where this food is bad, that food is bad - eventually every food has been demonized in my mind at some point. Plus often diets haven't worked and I've lost faith in the process…
  • I've been there myself many times. Its only been a few days of poor eating, don't be too hard on yourself. I've learnt that oten when we are stressed we eat, not because we are emotional eaters but because we are in calorie deficit which causes stress on the body, when we eat it relieves some of the stress we are dealing…
  • ^^This totally!
  • I'm on day 3 too and I'd like to take part :)
  • maybe its because people feel the need to reply to the negative topics which keep them further up the top. Ignore them and reply to the feel good ones you like. :)
  • For the knees, keep the weight in the heels and if the knees start to hurt don't go so low. If you can't do kneeling push ups on the floor do straight ones on a window sill/mantle piece and as you get fitter find lower and lower things to do push ups on until you're back to knees. If you can only do a few just rest and…
  • I'd be on the beach with those abs, and in 10 days??? My goodness!
  • I don't know why but family seem to equate weight loss with unhealthiness. I don't know if its jealousy or just geniune concern. As parents we are congratulated when our children put on weight or 'thrive' we are seen to be looking after them. When our children lose weight its not so good, scary even. There is also a lot of…
  • can we keep this thread going? I'm always on the look out for low calorie snacks! Baked bramley apple with 0.5 tsp of cinnamon and 10g sugar 123cals Not very healthy but yummy:- 1 banana whole keep skin on, slice down the middle push in 2 squares of chocolate push back together and wrap with tin foil. Put in over for a bit…
  • If its not something you usually do then add them. I usually do a little bit around the house daily so I would probably only add half the calories burned but only if I was extra hungry that day.
  • I started Monday, was really achey Tuesday so skipped a day. I did a session yesterday so I've made today my official day 2! Yay! Good luck - I'm sure your hard work will pay off!
  • You can feel down in the first few days of lower calories. It goes away after a few days :)
  • People are consistantly arguing over meat vs veg. I'd like to see documentaries on fresh meat + veg vs processed food. I suspect the same health benefits would be apparent.
  • As others of said on MFP (very good advice) weigh after a rest day for your true weight.
  • You need to get back on track BIG time. Stop trying to get on track and get on track. I know that sounds harsh, but all you need is one day. One day of eating right - you don't have to commit to any more than that. Once you've done one day, then you can think about adding another one onto that. It won't be long before you…
  • I quite like eating vegan foods, its actually changed my health a lot although I know I won't ever be completely vegan. However, I would never buy a book with that title - I think it's wrong in so many ways...
  • Wild animals produce more offspring when food is in surplus - Pets feed on processed food and are neutered. Wild animals don't usually get fat unless it is needed or in their nature to do so.
  • If you have a juicer or mixer make your own juices and smoothies - at least you'll know what's in them and you can control the calorie amount.
