I am eating low carb as well and frequent IHOP. I usually just ask that they make the omelet without the pancake batter. The cook will know what to do even if the waitress has never had that request before and acts funny about it. Just ask him/her to tell the cook not to put any batter in with the eggs. If they act weird,…

I have a Kindle app on my phone. I went to Amazon.com and found the book and bought the kindle version for $7.50. It automatically downloads to my phone. If you have a Kindle you can get in on there, or I think you can download it to your computer. I don't know if you can print it off though. I've never downloaded to my…

Look up BodyRockTV on youtube. All the workouts can be done at home. They have the equipment on their website, but if you're creative enough you can find alternative things in your house to use.

I don't "exersize". I do what I love: Triathlon and soccer.... Lots of running, swimming, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, etc.... and to be better at them and prevent injury, I lift weights. I'd be bored with exersize too if it didn't have a purpose other than to lose weight/look good.

I personally would never do it, even if I was a ripped super weight lifting beast like I want to be. But, it depends on the girl. I'll give you some examples of two women who go to my gym: Girl #1: Skinny little, dainty thing that walks around with her boyfriend. They get on the treadmill and "jog" for a few minutes before…

I will share! I can't wait to see it myself. Before trying Primal I ate TERRIBLE!!!! Lot's of fried foods, milk shakes, sodas, all kind of starches.... it was horrible. I am looking forward to the change now that I am eating REAL food.

I just bought Primal Blueprint for my Kindle. I can't wait to get started.

I am also reading that fish has it as well. How am I supposed to cut out all pufas if it's in fish? Fish is pretty much a staple for me. It's so funny, too, that while I am looking for info on this, I have found so many sights saying that unsaturated fats are the "good" fats. One website says to use heart healthy…

I am trying to stay away from pufa foods as much as possible. At home I use olive oil or coconut oil. If I eat out, I request everything grilled. But don't some nuts have pufas even if they are not roasted in oil? Don't some meats? I need to research this more.... that can be another thread.

I don't really aim for a specific calorie goal. I just plan my meals to be as paleo/primal as possible and try to keep my carbs around50 or 60 but never more than 100 on a bad day. I think I normally end up eating 1500-1700 or so, even thought I am set to 1200. I still lose weight.

The secret is working up to it. If you are out of breath, it's too fast. Slow down. Start with 3.5 or 4 even if you feel that's too slow, you'll last longer.... then after a while bump it up and keep pushing. Nobody just decides to start running and then automatically does it with no problems of feeling out of breath.

I'm not there yet, but here:

Personally, for things like that, I don't log them. Even though it may be more physical than your normal daily routine, I would just consider it a bonus and not log it. It's better than overestimating. I only log actual workouts.... anything else is bonus for me. Just what I do....

Don't eat a lot of fiber the day before your race. Try to "empty" yourself the night before or the morning of.

I think you should always workout, if the motivation is there. Each workout will help you get stronger for the next one, and therefore, you will be more efficient and more more cals in the long run. Just my opinion. Even though diet and exercise go together, think of them as being independent from one another. You workout…

Pistachio, baby!!!! I can eat an entire pint!.... or whatever that size is that I get in the store.

I used my food processor to chop it up for me.... so easy. It makes a mess, though!!! You'll have cauliflower all over your counter. I used it for chicken curry one night instead of rice. Definitely not as good as using rice for dishes like that, but for the calorie and carb reduction, it is well worth it.

etiquette.... if other options are available

So you are saying there are o EXTRA bars and weights and the only ones are on a rack like that. Okay that makes since. You or someone else just kept saying "pre-loaded bars". Doens't really explain that there's no extra ones without racks. Thanks for clarifying...... BUT, if your gym had extras, you still wouldn't do…
-
WOW!!!! I never thought of doing that!!! You're so logical!
-
I can do a deadlift anywhere..... I don't need a rack.

I use it on long bike rides, but for a sprint, I wouldn't bother.... Or if you do, don't worry about whether it will stay on, because it's such a short race, you won't even need it.

I have heard of chocolate chip cookie dough dip that's made with chick peas. I do not know the other ingredients though.

You can do it! There was cheesecake in my office today. I walked over to the table, looked at how good it looked, thought about how good it would taste, and then walked away enjoying the feeling of thinking about it and walking away.
