I'm not sure how I would take it if my husband called me thick. i would probably be like you and be a little put-off until I understood what he meant. Guys can say things and mean it in a totally innocuous way, but we women will take it another way!!! One time I was talking about how I used to play college soccer and was…

I do a 10-15 minute treadmill run to warm-up then I lift. I do this 3 times a week. One day is legs, one day is arms/shoulders/back. I do basic abs and lower back exercises on these days. The 3rd day I do hard-core core. Lots of circuit training that is core specific. On this day I will do some other random exercises that…

I'm more concerned with the music they are playing....

Would I answer this based upon what I would curl with one arm (single dumbbell) or two arms (barbell)? Yes, this is a serious question.... I'm kindo new to lifting and don't really do curls much, so I thought I'd ask.

When I'm not smart enough to check the radar and go running with my iPod..... right before a torrential downpour. I ruined my iPod shuffle like that.

I'll pass the word on to my friend. It's not me... I'm a C. That's why I said I was sorry I couldn't be helpful. I know I wouldn't want to be crammed into a size smaller for the sake of having more support if I was say a DD. There is nothing worse than an ill fitting bra!!! Good luck, ladies!

Spin class can help you get started, but just like the above posters said, you've got to train outdoors. Cycling is more than just exercise... you've got to learn how to properly operate your equipment under varying conditions (i.e. hill climbing). The only way to train for an outdoor event is to go outdoors. To start out,…

A friend of mine has to wear two for added support. Maybe find a style that fits comfortably and then wear two for support. Wish I could help more.

^^^^This If you haven't already, you will learn that peanuts pale in comparison to other nuts. I don't miss them! Almond butter is so amazing.... I can't believe I didn't try it sooner!

I always have grass fed ground beef and pasture raised eggs in my fridge for quick meals. I buy whatever veggies are available at the local farmers market along with the grass fed steaks and pork roast that may be available. I buy salmon weekly. I keep avocados, sweet potatoes, and spaghetti squash around. Garlic and…

Thanks for all the great info guys!!! I think I'll do three and maybe throw in a fourth if I'm having a good week!
-
I do try to do mostly compound. Okay, so I guess it makes sense to do full body if it's only once a week so that less time lapses between workouts. I'll do that during the tri season and for now, lift 3x/wk. I was thinking three, so thanks for the confirmation.... i didn't want to do too little.

Does this guy make comments like this a lot? To you or to others? Does he act like a jerk in general? If not, then he probably just wasn't thinking and you should let it go. If he does, then he's just an @$$ and you should also let it go.

Definitely slow down. You need to find a pace for your runs that you can sustain for the time. It may take practice to find out what that pace is. Start as slow as you can go and as you get more comfortable or realize you can go faster, then pick up speed.

I like this one and nomnompaleo.com

I'm pretty sure the piriformis muscle is one of those in your butt. My friend had piriformis syndrome once. Do you have a foam roller? Try one of those. I had serious IT band issues on the side of my right thigh and this did wonders for me.

Aaaaaaaaaaaannnnnndddddd.......... yesterday we had a potluck lunch at work. LOL!!!!

The best Paleo book is Primal Blueprint. Love it!!! Loads of info. I don't know what the best cookbook is.

Thanks everyone. I was not super mad at myself because I did enjoy it and didn't let me get off track... Back to normal for dinner last night and today. I do have to be careful though, because my cheat meals tend to turn into cheat weeks.
-
Yes, Primal.

Thans for all the ideas everyone!!

Alright that is awesome!!! Way to go!!! I am not a big fruit person anyway (except cherries and blueberries, which is still kind of rare). But the booze is my problem!!! I try to stay away from beer even though I love it, but I just absolutely love having a glass of wine (or three) in the evening while cooking dinner and…

My husband rides snowmobiles and needs grip strength. He has one of those hand spring thingies and he uses it while he's driving to work. (Yeah I know, only one hand on the wheel).

I went to one class and never went back. I would love to get into it for the flexibility, but I just can't justify the time spent when I am too busy working out in other ways.
-
My legs have really developed since becoming a cyclist. It really works your thighs and butt to go uphill!
-
Some of these made me giggle. Good Job!

I didn't know how to lift either until I hired a personal trainer.... but that is expensive. Here are other options: If you are already a member at a gym, start out by using the machines. As you gain strength, get some people to show you a few easy things with the free weights.... then work your way up. The staff can help…
