  • Your dog looks just like mine
  • Did you take pictures? I am sure if you compare, you will see a difference. I weighed 163 last year at this time, trained all summer for a half ironman, and still weighed 163 at the end of September. I took before and after pictures and could see a completely different body even though the weigh didn't budge.
  • Chicken wings!!! Bake them until crispy. Totally paleo and a super bowl favorite! I'm not sure what else.... I need to plan for this though, otherwise I'll be screwed!
  • I don't count things like that because I like to consider it bonus!! If you count it, you may end up eating it back.
  • You know, you are right. Even now after experiencing a change in myself, I still have a hard time telling myself that what I'm doing is okay.
  • For some reason this always tears my stomach up. Sushi is pretty much one of my favorite foods, but every time I eat it, I'm hitting the bathroom rather quickly. I wish this could be my pre-race fuel.
  • Has anyone said the Jetsons yet????
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.... The original Mario Borthers and Legend of Zelda Muppet Babies Garfield Anything Snoopy
  • See what I mean....
  • As soon as I make it a priority of mine to memorize and recite word-for-word the entire movie (like you seem to think I have), I'll let you know. But don't hold your breath. I have better things to do.
  • What also irritates me is that people are always saying "Show me scientific evidence.... blah, blah, blah" But when you post a scientific article they will argue its credibility. So everyone's a freakin' scientist these days?
  • Again, this is compared to my past experiences as well. I don't think it has everything to do with how many calories I'm getting, as I've tried tons of different methods. Do whatever works. Everyone is different.
  • Yeah.... You're probably right. I guess all those years of working in food science did nothing for me. Oh well. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
  • I agree.... But in my experience, I have never been able to lose by going over until now. So for me, it is working.
  • I can't really "confirm" but I have heard the same thing. I sometimes drink it after a workout and it is definitely yummy!!! A friend of mine drinks Ensure after a workout.
  • When I say that I go over my calories, I mean that on a lot of days I eat 300 to 500 calories MORE than the 1200 that I'm set at. Often this is also AFTER eating my excersize calories back. .....and I'm still losing weight! It blew my mind as well! The only thing I can attribute that to, is the fact that I only eat around…
  • Oh I think I get it now.... There's not a slaps forehead smiley so I'll just do this: :flowerforyou:
  • I'm sorry. I don't really understand your question about caloric deficit. Could you rephrase what you are asking me? I will be happy to explain
  • It is worth a try. You may feel really tired for the first few days as your body adjusts to not getting as many carbs. That feeling goes away and then you'll have more energy. I have been off and on dieting for about a year and I get so frustrated with feeling hungry all the time and eating "right" and exercising without…
  • Someone else posted this same article and the entire thread blew up with arguement. So I'll just go ahead and say that I have been eating 50-60 grams of carbs for the past 3 weeks and have lost 7 pounds. I also go over my calories almost everyday. It's worked for me so try it.
  • I did? When? Quote me?
  • Who said anything about being evil?
  • I'm with you.... everyone wants to argue about it. I say go ahead and argue, while I continue to drop weigh WITHOUT having to count my calories. I go over by 300 to 500 quite frequently and have lost 7 pounds in three weeks. I'm NEVER hungry either. Love it!!!
  • Try Paleo/Primal. Just try it for one month. I saw your diary.... just try it.
  • Lots of icing, lots of ibuprofen, and look into getting a night splint.
  • I use the foam roller to stretch my IT band also. It's really effective, and like you, my IT band also causes issues in other areas. I am really bad about stretching because I guess I'm lazy.... but I can't go long without rolling out my IT band.
  • There are probably some in Atlanta.... but I doubt there's much in my area.
  • Sounds like you're hanging on to #1 out of guilt and for staying in your comfort zone. Boy #2 is the one you need to be with. Been there, done that..... TRUST ME!!!! Almost identical situation. Dump #1 and go for #2 before it's too late. If boy 2 truely is how he sounds, you will NOT be sorry.... Matter of fact, you will…
  • Another one: Get a muffin pan. Fill each with eggs and toss in whatever "toppings" you want.... each one different. Bake for 25-30 minutes. (I can't remember the temp) Now you've got an egg muffin for everyday of the week..... okay maybe 6/7 days if you have a small pan.
