It's possible, depending on what sorts of toxins are stored. It's common to have headaches from withdrawal from some things like caffeine, sugar, or alcohol--things that might be cut out of one's diet when trying to reduce weight. Drinking enough water helps though.

Wooohoooo!

I'm in the same boat--but my son is 9 months old now. Make sure you're eating enough calories. Look up "breastfeeding" under foods to add to your food entries. That will automatically add 300-500 calories to your daily allotment, which you NEED for your baby if you're nursing. Additionally it's best to wait until about 4-6…

Great work! Nice that you've done it slow and steady--you're much more likely to keep it off that way. Looking good! :drinker:

Brooklyn, NY--I'm currently staying at home with our 9 month old son & yellow lab while hubby works in the special effects business. Taking a break from waiting tables & college--3 classes away from a BA in Geography. Brooklyn is diverse--we live between Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Poland--all within a 10…

Pizza for breakfast, Ramen noodles. Both very high in calories & not good for you at all.:noway:

Welcome! MFP has really helped me stay on track as well. :flowerforyou:

Slender--I was slender wearing size 6 at 5'5".

It's very challenging. But the workout is great--if your fella will use it as well, then you're more likely to stick with it I'd think. If you have the space I'd suggest doing the rower plus one other thing--like an elliptical or ski machine for a total body workout. Maybe try out a rower to see which one you like before…

Meat pies with fruit in them. Sorry--it just tastes like vomit. Blech!

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Please report the jacka$$es to moderators. We don't need them. Please feel free to friend me if you like. I may have some snarky remarks at times (all in good fun!), but never dole out anything but positivity & support towards fellow MFP members!!! We're all here for our health, and that…

Which women gets their calories set at 1600-1700 calories??? I would LOVE that! I only started being "allowed" to have extra because I breastfeed, but that only gets me 300 more. I have to exercise for the rest. Is it height?

Great work! I can totally see it in your waist! Your face looks thinner too! Way to go! Keep up the good work!!!

I got the EatSmart digital scale. I got one for food (weighs up to 11 lbs.) and the other for my personal weight. It's a good deal and was recommended by Skinnytaste.com. I've been happy so far with both. You can get them from Amazon.com. I also recommend a measuring tape to chart progress the scale might not always…

Totally with ya there! Congrats to you! I was in the same boat... the last couple weeks the scale hasn't been friendly, but in all total I've lost 10 lbs in 1-1/2 months--but more importantly my waist has steadily gone from 37" to 33.5 inches, even during scale increases. I only measured because MFP had that option to fill…

Wow!!! Fantastic job!!!

Ha! I know, it looks like porn--lol! I have a friend who swears by it though. She says it's really helped her tone her arms.

Looks great! (I'd have to add in the okra--gumbo's just not the same without it for me!) Thanks for sharing!!!
-
Ha ha ha! I really had to make myself not drink tonight. I have worked up the calories to have some but I did last night so I don't want to push my luck with the scale this week. Par-tay!!!

Great work! I can really see a difference!
-
WOW. Just WOW! You've come a long way... seem happy and healthy! Way to go!
-
WOWOWOW!!! You have done such an amazing job! Way to go!!!!!

Process them--shred, slice, chop--whatever. Mix them in with your protein. Add shredded veggies--like carrot, slaw mix, etc to your wraps or sandwiches. Throw them in your soups. Blend them with anything. Eat salads. Slice them & layer like lasagna in a casserole pan, add feta & bake. Check out recipes on Skinnytaste.com.

I use firefox, which has an add-on which blocks ads. I didn't know there were ads on this site. The only thing I've heard of that sort of works is Mederma for scars. It doesn't make them go away but helps reduce their appearance after they've faded. Lots of water, not smoking or drinking alcohol, taking in plenty of…
