  • Sometimes I wonder what planet I was supposed to live on. At 5'9" and 185 lbs, I wore a 16 pant size, with an occasional large-sized 14. I have hips, yes, but... well. Doesn't currently matter. I'm 230# after having a set of twins a year ago; have gained since Halloween (was 203). HELP ME OBI WAN! #ugh
  • Proof that money and brilliance aren't necessarily enough to live for...
  • HOO AH! Great work, and thank you for serving our country!
  • Enjoyed the UP for vacation last year... only reason this Iowa girl knows what a Yooper is! Welcome to MFP!
  • The roasted red pepper hummus is to die for - and I normally hate hummus. The Chimchurri salmon is freaking amazing. Several of their veggie stir frys are handy and not too expensive. Their wines are great deals for most. And we LOVE LOVE LOVE their frozen Asain selections (Trader Ming's) such as the char siu bao,…
  • 3trees, I also do not have a tilapia recipe, but wondered about putting a spin on it and including a meal out - since that is reality for "most" dieters, to be having to choose from a menu. I personally often select the Harvest Chicken Salad (regular) from Quizno's and use only 1/2 the dressing, which lands the entire dish…
  • I also tend to save my calories for suppertime eating - it is the only meal I get to enjoy with my family. I have some great low-cal suppers that I use, but not as low as 350 cals~ I am happy to provide whatever input/recipes/etc. That being said, I understand the design with loading most cals early in the day.…
  • Thursday: 0 no thanks to home improvement projects Friday: 10 Total so far this week: 27 With tomorrow's 7 that I will complete before weigh-in is submitted, I've got 34 miles to add for us. I'm sorry it wasn't the 42 I'd planned, but I didn't realize I'd be tearing out our kitchen and dining room flooring for several days…
  • Wed: 3 miles (sorry, it was a helluva day banging tile off of our kitchen floor) Week's running total so far: 17 elliptical miles.
  • I'm sorry, I think it was me that was confused (or was I cheating? LOL) - I'll edit to remove my walking miles. It does say to pick your one mode. Oops!!! ETA: Bigger oops! I guess I can't edit older posts? (I rarely use the forums on MFP) - so I guess I"ll start the "right way" with my next post tomorrow. Sorry!
  • Okay, here's mine (I'll probably just keep this post and edit it as the days go past) - am doing elliptical miles with half-mile walk for cooldown before I leave the gym: Monday: 7 (elliptical) + 0.5 walk = 7.5 Tuesday: 7 (elliptical) + 0.5 walk = 7.5
  • Finally! Thank you for being honest and posting your measures. I have felt so badly because it seems my waist is larger than most women's, and I needed to see someone - anyone! - say they were in the same boat as me. You made great changes!!! I own 30DS but only made it 17 days the first time. Guess I need to pull that…
  • Glad to be back and a part of Team Green! I use the elliptical as a huge part of my workout routine, so I was planning 7 miles/day minimum, including all days of the week. So that comes to 42 miles including Saturday. When I use the bike, I normally hit about 8 miles/workout session, could increase that if necessary. And…
  • Primarily just FFXI, I've lost 50 pounds in the past six months... I may have met my RL husband ingame... Five years ago!
  • Now perhaps I'm the ID-10-T for not reading my owner's manual (at least I'm honest!) but I don't wet my strap down... I just adjust it over my rib cage and under the breast area until it shows a strong heart rate reading... I place the transmitter square in the center over my xiphoid process. I am guessing there was a loss…
  • Smashing success!
  • I was 250ish and handled it fine... except I will warn you to watch your knees on Level 1. And that is true for all, regardless of weight!
  • You need enough space to perform push ups and a few traveling steps... an area six by six feet would probably do in a pinch. As for equipment, I literally used canned veggies as my weights, because I'm frugal [cheap] like that. Level 1 will kill you at first. Level 2 is fun in comparison... and I can't advise on Level 3…
  • Hahahaha, yeah, that. Next time I work on that DVD, I'm doing it without Jillian's "coaching"!
  • I was 227 yesterday, so that's 9.4 for the month. Not quite ten, but close, considering Turkey Day was 3 days of maintenance eating for me!
  • Boo hiss to letting myself lose control over Thanksgiving. Week 4: 228.6 (though I have lost/gained this pound repeatedly for the past four days) That takes away my ten pounds lost for November. <sad sad face>
  • I have officially lost 10+ lbs this month!!! In ten more pounds, I will weigh what I weighed five years ago when I met my husband. I do not anticipate a loss for next week, as I am going to prepare and enjoy a Thanksgiving feast... I just do not wish to gain! SW - 236.4 Week 1 - 231.2 Week 2 - 229.6 Week 3 - 226.2
  • Not as stellar as last week... just 1.6 down, but honestly, we dined out a lot and this means to me I am learning wise choices because I still lost! :) SW - 236.4 lbs (Tuesday Nov 1) Week 1 - 231.2lbs (Tuesday Nov 8 ) Week 2 - 229.6 lbs (Tuesday Nov 15) Week 3 - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 22) Week 4 - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 29)…
  • Down 5.2 from last week... wait... what? I'll take it!!! SW: 236.4 Week 1: 231.2
  • Okay, folks... Hope this doesn't make me unpopular. I've been using MFP since mid-August. Started workouts and calorie counting on 8/29. Lost 20 lbs between 8/29 and 10/24/11. Got frustrated that so many others were losing more; I was eating my exercise calories and doing everything "by the book". So in my frustration, I…
  • LOSE 10 POUNDS IN NOVEMBER 2011 CHALLENGE SW - 236.4 lbs (Tuesday Nov 1) Week 1 - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 8 ) Week 2 - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 15) Week 3 - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 22) Week 4 - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 29) Total lost - xx lbs (Thursday Dec 1)
  • I'd also like to join... I need some more accountability. Thanks! SW - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 1) Week 1 - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 8 ) Week 2 - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 15) Week 3 - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 22) Week 4 - xxx lbs (Tuesday Nov 29) Total lost - xx lbs (Thursday Dec 1)
  • Keep at it! Do as much as you can! When those jumping jacks are just about to kill you, keep moving. If you can't keep up, at least keep your body in motion. I am on Level 2 Day 5... and my first day I nearly died. But when I was done, I just felt so.... good! It's going to hurt. Jillian isn't a pantywaist... she will push…
  • Irregardless is, in fact, a word. While it is not as widely acceptable as "regardless," it is still a word!
