  • I agree with the other comment, there are also many different kinds of eggs, and apparently that makes a difference, a coworker gave me a few duck eggs to use for baking, but they have much higher calorie and cholesterol, than a normal chicken egg.
  • I fly...and just got my offer letter from the FAA to be a controller. I also have a few friends in the industry from different cities. Good to meet you.
  • I think most of us are just aiming for the skinny train...lol. Welcome
  • Well it is slow going but at least it's going in the right direction. These are my Thursdays 1/1/10 - 190 1/7/10 - 189 1/14/10 -189 1/21/10 - 188 1/28/10 - 185 Laura
  • A close friend just went through a divorce due to her ex being an alcoholic and an adulterer, just be really glad you didn't have the kids you mentioned trying for in your profile He obviously doesn't deserve you. You are brave and will be better off without him. Best of luck.
  • I have kinda felt the same way. I have been doing Power 90 for about 60 days, so I have pictures from my start and at 30 days, and 60 days. I have lost a bunch, but I feel that my body still looks the same, even though the clothes are smaller. The best explanation I have been able to find is that just like our bodies gain…
  • For a starter I would go for the prawn cocktail or soup of the day For an entree I would go with the grilled menu, and either the chicken burger (ask for a wheat bun) or eat it without the bun and ask for extra cole slaw or veggies in place of the onion rings or I would try the sirloin steak. I try to save my red meat…
  • The tailored suits I had made in 2003 in Qatar. They rock, but have spent most of their lifespan in the back of the closet.
  • I am close to 60 days down of Power 90, and have been considering between Power 90 Master Series for another 30 days, or changing to Slim in 6 or P90X after this rotation. I love it so far, mostly because you aren't sitting around doing 1 exercise forever, it changes up and quickly.
  • Thanks for all the info I have to get one of these, that shows calories burned. I got an oregon scientific one with debit card points, and programmed it, but it never finds my HR. Then I went out and got a battery for my girlfriends old HRM (it's a Mio Sport) and it only tells you your HR. I need to probably invest in the…
  • I think different people are encouraged or discouraged by different things, so it is always best to do what's right for you, not do what everyone else is doing. I couldn't even tell you what my ticker goal is set for, I just now that I am down about 19 lbs. That and the current number on the scale is what I keep in the…
  • About a month into starting I was irritated with everything. I had to get some friends to convince me it was worth it, and that if I could stick with it, everything would settle down into a routine. It has for the most part, life will always get in the way, I just try to plan as best I can. The difference is after the…
  • Totally agree with the earlier comments regarding going over on protein. Definitely a good idea to change your ratios, if having the breakdown visible helps. I changed mine a couple months ago, when I figured out how and it has helped. On the issue of what to eat to get the protein, I eat a lot of boneless skinless chicken…
  • I just got a small George Foreman for doing single servings of Chicken and Turkey Burgers. I would say if possible, get another George Foreman. I love it. Let's see, if that's not possible, broiling is probably next best, it is how I used to cook my chicken before I got the George Foreman, broiling, really seals the…
  • I plan my meals and log them the night before based on what activities I have planned for the next day. I frequently travel and don't have a normal work day. I find that by planning my day out the night before, I can better balance when and what I can eat and make sure it falls into the appropriate calories. I fly small…
  • I don't like to plan mine for days in advance, but I used to have kinda the same problem, and I wanted to eat my larger calorie meals earlier in the day, rather than at the end. What I found is that if I plan my meals for the day the night before, it helps me to stay on track for the next day, and I can play with what I am…
  • definitely slow...hence the accidental double post....I thought it was just my internet connection...guess not. Im with PJilly, and so far it has been better today
  • Way to kick butt...bragging is soo deserved. Congratulations and best of continued success in 2010.

  • I love it, and definitely will agree to join on this journey. Some of these things I already strive for, but also see the ones I know, and tend to violate. So cheers to the coming year and all those beyond it. Thanks for sharing. ~Laura
  • Kick butt and welcome back. Thanks for the interesting fact, I've never heard that before. This site is the only reason I track anything I am actually doing, rather than just doing stuff daily. I think the detail, and accountability assists with the results on a regular basis. The only time I have trouble is when I am not…
  • I know few adults who can hula hoop, so that is great if it works for you. Some of my students could do it for an entire recess period without stopping. It can be alot of fun, enjoy and welcome back.
  • After the main party with the rest of the family, we got a 4 & 6 lb medicine ball (to use with the Power 90 we've been doing), and a biggest loser Wii game (I don't really know anything about that). I haven't been a fan of working out on a game, doesn't seem to get a tough enough workout in, in the same amount of time I…
  • I got a crazy penguin flying an airplane ornament and some Arrogant *kitten* Hot Sauce set....and to go back to bed and cuddle with my cat. Of course the rest of the Christmas party is later with family.
  • Not sure how much we have here, I just got up, but I know it's been snowing for at least 2 hours in NJ. Good luck to the rest of you wishing for it, and those not. I just got back from El Paso, TX, and we had snow the same day down there, that they got it in Schenectady, NY a few weeks ago.
  • I started Power 90, and won't be through before the New Year, but once I complete it I will be moving onto P90X. It'll be closer to Valentine's Day. I chose not to wait till New Years for my resolution, I needed the changes now.
  • We bought a recumbent bike for the house, due to the inability to go to the gym, and it was great for a while, and for dvring your fav shows and watching while you ride for an hour, but we mix that up with DVD workouts, and walking. It will get boring at home if you put it somewhere, that is inconvenient to use, and where…
  • I definitely think its a good thing. When I first started I would try and get to the computer to log each meal. Now I try and plan out my next days meals the night before, that way I already know what meets my daily quota, and if I am thinking of going out for a meal, or something else, I can plan that into the equation.…
  • Well I am only 30, I am single, no kids, but am overweight, just like most of the people on here. I do not belong to any particular group, but when I feel like going out somewhere not so good for the diet or anything like that, I will sometimes read through different messages on the board, to try and learn something that…
  • Most of my friends hate when I say this, but I think it works. In the army I either was told or told someone else " Suck it up and get it done" The longer you sit around feeling sorry for yourself, the longer till you actually see a change. Yes, we all screw up, but it's what you do after that, and what you learned from…
