My Instant Pot is great. Use it several times a week. One pot dinners, to make hard cooked eggs...the best!! I make homemade bone broth every week or two! I also use it as a slow cooker and a steamer!!! Worth every penny I spent! Next favorite appliance is my Cuisinart food processor. The both make meal prep enjoyable!!!

Remember if you are doing a ketogenic diet, you want very low carb, moderate protein and high fat. Healthy fats are as important as low carbs. So no low carb, low fat..,doesn’t work.

I saw the same documentary. Inspiring for sure. I researched and bought the best juicer for me. And yes...I juice. Make a nice green juice 2 - 3 times a week. No...I do not juice fast. I add my juice to my current diet. I am not fond of raw veggies and I know I don't get enough of them in my diet, but I love the juice. I…

Another thing you might want to try is kettlebells. I do the kettlebell swing. It is cardio and weight training (kind of all in one.) You use your core mostly for the swing, but your legs get a good workout too...and it's fun!!

Yes, I too watched the movie and was equally impressed. Good luck to you in your endeavor to lose while you juice. (play on words, kinda). Everyone has different opinions on what is a good human diet. I enjoy juicing, but hate wasting half of the fruits/veggies. I recently purchased a Nutribullet. Does a great job. My…

Make sure you are drinking enough water. 4 - 8 cups is not enough. Also what is the consistency of your stool now? Is it hard? do you have to strain?? Sorry about the invasive questions. I'm a nurse so they seem perfectly normal for me.

Not sure what plan you are on, but deviled eggs are always a good standby. Every time I make them I never bring any home. Tasty and a good protein food.

Your body is probably going through what is calle "Atkins Flu". This is when your body converts from using mostly carbs for fuel to using fat. Make sure you are also getting dietary fat, don't try low carb and low fat together. Once your body is used to the lower carb count you will feel much better. This apparently is…

This recipe isn't especially low calorie, but it an awfully good way to make a quick hot breakfast. Overnight Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal -2 medium apples, skinned, cored and chopped -1 cup Steel Cut Oats -3 Tbsp brown sugar (I substituted Splenda ) -2 Tbsp butter -1 Tbsp flax seed meal (optional) - (I didn't use) -1 tsp salt…

Good morning ladies, How is everyone doing with their November goals. I'm doing pretty well. Been exercising daily...my goal was 5 x a week. I'm getting ready to work out here in about an hour. water, good. Pop...well not down to 1 can a day...but not more than 2. Been logging in all my food and I have been getting on MFP…

Thanks everyone. Walmart has a set 10 - 15 - 20lb online that I ordered. I have been working out for a little while but I'm not consistent. I have Tracy Reifkinds book "The Swing" that teaches form and I have a very light bell - 4 or 5lbs. I am ready to graduate up. Just not sure how heavy to go. Tracy's workouts aren't…

I have a juicer that I have enjoyed over the years. Only problem is that you lose all of the fiber, have a lot of garbage to clean up after and cleaning the juicer is a pain. I recently bought a Nutri Bullet. WOW! It is great. Makes great veggie smoothies. Comes with a lot of good recipes. You start with leafy greens, add…

I'm 61. Never wanted kids. I was told that I was selfish when I was younger, by friends with kids. Selfish??? There are a lott of people out there who are parents but who should never have had kids. I also waited to get married...now I have a built in family. 2 grown stepchildren (who are wonderful) and a step grandbaby…

Get on your hands and knees. First put on ankle weights. Donkey kicks to the back and to the side (the side ones with knees bent). Then go down to your elbows and do the same thing. Works your butt a little differently.

Hi everyone. So far so good. Today is cleaning day and I'm taking a break (a rather long one) to get online and have a late lunch. It's getting too cold too fast for my liking. It's a dreary day here too. Tomorrow we are closing up our deck for the year...a very sad day for me as we love to sit out there in the evenings…

Cream in coffee? Love it. I also us sweet and low or Splenda. Non-dairy creamers have transfats...yuck. I love low carb. Dana Carpender has some awesome cookbooks and then just google low carb recipes...lots of sites and recipes fro free. I don't get as hungry as I did when I ate more carbs, and when I do get hungry not as…

I have "Yoga Zone" for beginners. I also have several other yoga dvd's. I really like Yoga Zone and that is the one I usually use. I am not real flexible and they have someone doing the poses with modifications that I can almost do. Alan Finger goes over breathing technique very thoroughly and tells you when to inhale and…

If you're going from a high carb diet to a low carb diet, what you are experiencing is perfectly normal. Some people call it the "Atkins flu" because you can feel so crappy. Hang in there. It may last a while, but what is happening is you are converting your body from being a "sugar burner" (high carb) to a "fat burner"…

I live in OH. Very cold winters, which I hate. Love warm weather so, somewhere in Florida would be my ideal destination.

I've had mine for a while. Wear them a lot. Mostly around the house, for working out and especially yoga. They have a lot more support than you would think. They are not good on chunky loose gravel, but for most anything else they're great.
