Well said.....I agree 100%

Sorry but I have to disagree with your first sentence.......it works for me and I am not crazy!!!! I only log the weight once a week and I understand the reasons for the natural fluctuations so I don't fret or make adjustments because of them. Please remember that what works for you may not for others.

NO......NOT IF IT WORKS FOR YOU!! Do not listren to people who say you should or shouldn't weigh at any particular interval. Try varying it....daily....weekly ....less often....until you find what works for you. We are all different physically and emotionally and you need to find out what works for you! I weigh every day…

Don't give up.....I know it can be a slow process and for us 'mature' ladies it really is more difficult. I am getting there bit by bit and I'm sure you will too.
-
We have hockey over here too.....not quite to the same standard but we enjoy it......Coventry Blaze fan here....COYB!

Try the BBC Food website and search on kohlrabi. It comes up with a few possibilities. I've never tried it but remember seeing it in the shops in Germany when I was a student and wondering what it was!!!

I only log straight water in that section and I rarely drink more than 2 or 3 cups a day.......BUT......I eat a lot of salads and vegetables with a high water content so get plenty from them.

I'm not finsing it difficult to say 'no' to myself but I do agree on how slowly the weight is coming off. I am 51. I have read a lot about the subject and even doing all the right things it takes us ladies of a certain age much longer to reach our goals.
-
Great thanks for that.......I'll try it out on my husband this evening! lol
-
I know what you mean about the after effects of the c-section as I only had one and I don't look too tidy around there!! I'm not sure there is too much that can be done in that area because of the nature of it but I'd love to know if anyone has any ideas. As for the gym I'd suggest trying a few other different machines to…

You could try low fat fromage frais or creme fraiche instead if you can get that?
-
Thanks for sharing.....we're planning a BBQ tomorrow, I'll do that as dessert.
-
Good idea....13 days is quite a short time and you need to experiment over a longer period to see what works for you.

I agree totally with all of this. I am losing the weight slowly but steadily by exercising for an hour twice a week. It's only going to work if you find something you enjoy and will stick at once you've reached your target. I go to a gym on a Sunday morning and swim or do aquafit one evening stright after work. I also have…

I will be with you in spirit.....my 1000m once a week would take a bit longer than the end of the year to complete!!
-
I totally agree. I weigh every day because it works for me. Try different intervals and what works best. Always make it the same time of day though.
-
As long as you choose a day and stick to it (and the time of day) what difference does it make? It's the trend over the weeks and months that really matters.

Work our how many calories your cheeky vodkas come to and 'earn' them back with exercise.
-
And me too!!!
-
Please keep at it. 5lbs really is progress and as long as you keep losing at that rate you will see a difference. I am a few years older and probably similar in size. I have lost 7lbs but can't see any change yet. I do feel the exercise is doing me good though. I'm also in the UK so send me a friend request if you like.

I'm with you on that one, cheese most definitely!
-
It's not late here......8.50am!!!
-
Sorry......I am so food focussed I thought you were being chased by a giant tomato!!! I think I'd rather have the tornado!! lol
-
i think there is a lot of truth in there.....but I hope to prove at least some of them wrong by losing more than 40lbs!!! Number one is only true for me before I had my two kids......since the second one came along I haven't got close to my goal weight.
-
Good idea....try Johnson's the dry cleaners, they do that sort of thing!
-
Good luck.......and not only because you're a fellow United supporter :-)

Lots of people are in a similar situation and not eating after a certain time is not practical. I work and don't get home till gone 6pm and I then cook and eat with my family. Just try as far as possible to spread you calories through the day so you're not eating all evening just to consume your allowance.
-
I read somewhere that you burn calories to keep warm so you could lose weight by just sitting in a cold store for several hours a day!!!

Feeling so tired all the time doesn't sound right at all. Please go and see your GP and get yourself checked out.
