I am not vastly overweight - 15lbs less would be fine for a woman of my age and build Losing the weight won't make a difference to my overall health I'm already reasonably fit - I can swim 2.5k in less than 90 minutes I already eat a balanced, healthy diet and cutting back means feeling hungry I did it before but personal…

Look back at your old posts!
I have been here quite some while and noticing I had made exactly 300 posts I just went back and looked at some of my very early ones. Kettlebell or Dumbell iPhone apps?
I have just bought some pretty kettlebells and dumbells to use at home. Does anyone use an iPhone app for workouts with these? I could do a version of what I do at the gym but a little variety would be good. Oh and it has to be free.....I have an aversion to paying iTunes for something like this!

The young fitness instructor, the mature lady and the tape m
I go to the gym or swim a couple of times a week for the cardio and with the calorie counting have lost a fair bit since last August. I decided it's time to tone up what's there with some strength work so asked for a refresher at the gym. It's under new management since I joined so they insisted on a a health check which…

Would it surprise you to know....?
Ok so these may not be news to everyone but………. 1. Just because you read it in a book/magazine/newspaper/website/blog it doesn’t mean it’s true! 2. Just because you disagree with what someone else read in a book/magazine/newspaper/website/blog it doesn’t mean it’s NOT true! 3. Someone who puts Dr in front of their name…

NSF (Non Scale Failure) or why well fitting clothes matter!
Bear with me here....... In June I had to buy a couple of new smart dresses for work as I'd gained weight and none of the ones I had fit any more. I bought two online both a UK size 16, slightly different styles. The linen one looked really good despite my weight gain because it fit absolutely perfectly all over. The pink…

So I have packed away all those clothes that don't fit any more! I have decided that looking at them every time I open the wardrobe or drawer is not good for me. One for the Brits
GOD, THE DEVIL & FAT In the beginning God covered the earth with broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, with green, yellow and red vegetables of all kinds so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives.
