Obviously cut... but your cat adds to it!

Polar FT7. I've had it nearly 2 years. Drives me crazy not wearing it while working out now. Love knowing an accurate number for calories burned. I think it was around $75.

http://www.gainsthroughloss.com Go here and read this blog. Scroll to the very bottom and start reading. Kyle is a MFP member and his story is truly incredible! He's been there and he did it, along with many, many other people. So can you!

Good for you! :drinker:

I used mfp here and there to drop a few lbs. when i was asked to be in a friend's wedding. Eventually, tough times hit and it was either start drinking and eating crap or do it the healthy way. I chose the healthier option.

I slice up my ripe bananas, freeze them, and use them as needed in my smoothies. Delicious and they don't go to waste!

Guesstimating my calories is what got me in trouble to begin with! So yes, I weigh and measure all of my food.

Are you focusing on keeping your core tight when you are squatting/lunging, too? That's what I was doing wrong when I would feel discomfort in my back (mainly when squatting). Also, when you come up from the squat, are squeezing your glutes tight? You might feel it more if you are not. Just a few thoughts...

Haha! I like it!

Just started this week completing 100 (REAL) push-ups a day!!! Normally I've been hitting 25-30 before I break and then back at it again! Considering two years ago I could barely do one girly push-up, I'd say this is worth bragging rights! Feeling strong! : )

Thanks for this link. Good stuff in there. I've been lifting for about 8 months now and I'm not sure where I'd be without it! I love it and crave it! Do I have (or will I ever have) Jessica Biel's body after lifting? No, but I am fitter because I am lifting. Everyone is different and how your body reacts will be different…

Absolutely! I use mine several times a week. I grill all of my chicken at the beginning of the week so I only have to heat it up when I want it. I also grill veggies on it as well! I would suggest buying one with the removable plates, though. Makes life much easier when cleaning! You'll love it!

I've been lifting since January and i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Of course it's a love/hate relationship when I'm doing it but the burn feels so good. Noticing definition, others noticing the difference. It's totally worth it. : ) A very wise and former trainer of mine used to say... "When in doubt, SQUAT!" She was right! Keep…

Tomorrow is a new day. I'm right there with you (along with many other people, I'm sure!). Just start fresh and be sure to drink a lot of water. You're fine. Just continue on.

Your smile in the after picture screams confidence! Well done!

I was on a plane for 3 hours the other day and little girl behind me was chomping, crunching, lip smacking... all of the above. I wanted to jump out of the airplane! :grumble:

Thanks everyone. Today was one of the less than perfect days but tomorrow will be better!

@suzanne- It absolutely is a process! I try to not focus on the scale. I started lifting in January and my body weight has shifted. I am only down 10lbs since January but I definitely have more muscle and I love it! Keep going!

My main reason for posting this is to remind myself just how far I have come and to not get so frustrated with the little things every week! Also, as a reminder that I'm not going to let myself go back to that unhealthy me!

To mix things up a bit I have tried a loaded baked sweet potato! Microwave the potato, then I add greek yogurt (instead of sour cream), salsa, and shredded cheese with pepper to taste. Pretty yummy!

Stuffed peppers. ground turkey, green bell peppers, diced onions, brown rice and tomato sauce or diced tomatoes. I usually use what I have in the pantry but google it and you will find it. quick, easy and inexpensive!

Not so much while I'm running but if I have a hard workout it will get up between 173-176. I don't recall hitting the 180 range yet but like they mentioned, everyone is different.
