Off to a good start. Also, eat foods that are high in fiber, which is filling. And as mentioned… lots of water.

Unfortunately, no. But there are several I would like to meet. Many cool people out in MFP land!

Skinnytaste.com has some pretty good recipes. It's geared towards weight watchers but still healthy and the recipes I've tried have been great.

I'm a stubborn German as well. : ) Strong post in which I'm sure many can relate… me being one of them. You're in the right mindset now just keep moving forward. You've got this!

Not sure how pricy kettle bells are but those are great. Just search kettle bell exercises. And as mentioned earlier… burpees- MUCH HATED but definitely necessary and worth the effort.

If you really want to stop drinking it, you just have to stop. As you said, it's all mental. After a while the cravings will go away and you probably won't even miss it. I found it didn't even taste the same after not having it for a period of time. It's all up to you! Good luck. Reasons for cutting- I mainly cut my soda…

^^ Yes, this. Stir fry. Inexpensive and delicious!

Matt Holliday, player for the St. Louis Cardinals. Not a "celebrity" but he is in the world of baseball, especially St. Louis.

I occasionally do the same thing. When I roll out of bed around 10 or 11, I will eat some type of protein and then head to the gym. Eat my breakfast and count it as my morning snack. Then eat lunch, early afternoon, and then go by my remaining calories for the rest of the day. I'm not technically skipping meals. I'll eat…

And this. Cereal- breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I could. but I don't. :ohwell:
I don't think people are actually feeling guilty, but instead are treating themselves to something they enjoy, despite feeling that it is not usually held in high regard. They find happiness in these "guilty pleasures".
^^^ Yes, this. Thank you!

Nothing wrong with that. Pedicures are next in line.

Simply incredible! :drinker:

As far as going back to eating the "junk" an old trainer used to say it would take 72 hrs. for cravings to truly go away. If you can push past those 3 days, the cravings should subside and it should be easier.

I started my weight loss journey September, 2011 and have lost 45lbs or so. I have maintained and gained muscle this past year but I need to kick it up a notch and start losing more body fat. Always embarrassed to look at this before picture. I never remember being this big but pictures don't lie. Always work to be done…

FREE WEIGHTS!!! I used to do the classes and enjoyed them. There is nothing wrong with doing them and yes, you'll learn some basics, however, free weights/strength training will do more for you than the classes will do. Highly recommend! Also search bodybuilding.com Great site with videos for explanation of lifts if you…

Great attitude! Keep it going! :drinker:

Come on... I know I'm not the only baseball fan out there!

Be proud of your accomplishment! You deserve it. We all have to start somewhere! I just have to shake my head thinking about the incident that happened to you. Unreal. As other people have said... Karma! Keep doing what you're doing and don't let anything stop you!
