I'm going with Sleep Apnea. My ex bf was the same way. He was 6'4", an athelete, in good shape, ran in a social running club. But every time he pushed himself or started to train for a marathon - he would get sick and his body would break down. The doctor had him on anti-depressants for a long time and nothing worked. Then…

Wow! That 30 lbs made a huge difference! You're GORGEOUS! :-D

So helpful. I recently upped my calories from 1200 to 1300 and haven't weighed myself yet. Sometimes I think I can see a difference and sometimes I feel like I can't. What I really need is to see that damn needle move on the scale and then I'll know I'm doing the right thing. So far, I've been on MFP for 3 months and…

It's DEFINITELY the store. My guess is that when you were heavier you shopped at places like Lane Bryant or a similar store. Now that you're a much slimmer female you're thinking it'll be a treat to go to more mainstream type stores. Well, the thing about retailers is that they want to flatter you so you'll buy their…

Try moving up or down a size in the band. Like if you're wearing a 36D right now and it's too big, go down to a 34D. Make sense? I know it sounds weird, but I swear it works :-D Good luck!

Very good advice! Thank you! My calorie goal is 1200/day (I'm 5'4", 134lbs., work in front of a desk all day). I do my best to stick to it, I've done a good job so far. I am a runner so I run a few days a week and the other days (to save my knees) I do some other form of cardio and then lift some weights. I JUST started…

Thank you all SO MUCH for the advice. So to summarize I will try to: 1) Increase my MFP calories by 100 calories per day. 2) Drink more water. 3) Add protein and heavy weight lifting to my work out routine. 4) Eat more consistent meals and try to keep my burn and consume at a constant every day. 4a) If that still doesn't…

I have not tried that, but I will! Someone recommended P90X to me, but you have to have a pull up bar and all kinds of accessories that I dont have at home. I could do it at the gym, but I'm not sure how I would watch the video there....

I have a desk job where I sit all day. The only walking I do is to meetings or to go get lunch or something :-/
-
Thanks - I will try that. I'll start packing my lunches, for starters....

Yeah, I see what you mean about that...but sometimes I go for a run after I've already worked out. So there is an ungodly amount of calories to consume, haha. I do my best to eat them all, but often it doesn't work out :-/

I started MFP in August. So it's been like 3.5 months...

I think I fixed the privacy thing. So you should be able to look now. I'm 5'4 and 30 years old. I just moved to Denver from New York City where I walked everywhere. I weighed 118 lbs when I moved and now, six months later, I am up to 134 lbs. :-( Thank you for the nice compliment, though. And I will try to lift more…

Read this article: http://caloriecount.about.com/forums/weight-loss/eating-back-exercise-calories It may help!

I actually used to take Loestrin FE 24. Quitting hormonal birth controll has been the absolute BEST idea I've ever made. I suffer from chronic migraines and when I stopped taking hormones they virtually went away! I used to get 1 to 2 per week, I now get 1 per month MAYBE. I also lost 8 lbs. right off the batt after I…

Not trying to be gross, but I was feeling really down because the scale will NOT budge and last night at dinner my boyfriend said, "I was looking at you this morning and you're looking 'bangin' hot' since you started working out 6 days a week...you definitely feel firmer too." Haha! I have no evidence to back this up, but…

I'm in Baker :-)

Question: Can a break be something like doing yoga all week, rather than nothing? Because I have yet to lose any weight I feel weird about taking a week completely off.... Also, great thread! So glad we're friends! :-)

So sweet, thank you! (I'd give you a solid 10 as well) :-)

Were you talking to me? If so, THANKS!

Nice tattoo!

WHAT?!?! Ridiculous! You look AMAZING!!!

I can't wait to try these! Thanks!

I'm 31, 5'4" and I'd say medium to small frame. I'm currently 135 lbs and my goal is 118. I have been at 118 for the past four years and I thought that was a good look for me. Also, none of my pants fit anymore and I am NOT about to buy new stuff. I think 127 - 120 would be an excellent goal, but who knows? Maybe you reach…

This sounds awesome, thanks for the reply! I'm sure others will be glad to have this. I should have mentioned, however, that I can't have any artificial sweeteners (like sugar free syrups or sweet-n-low) because I have migraine issues and those are a huge trigger for me (unfortunately). That's why I'm looking for…

Really??? Who'd have guessed! I'm going to have to try that out. Thanks!

It's all about getting into a routine. I would aim to do SOMETHING 5-6 days a week. I'm trying to get my weight loss into gear so I'm on a 7 day-per-week schedule right now. Two of those days I work out in the morning AND at night. Once I've hit my goal I'll move to just maintaining the weight and not be so agressive - so…

There are shakes that help you build mass and that's not what I'm looking for.

I know what you mean! I know I'm not supposed to, but I weigh myself EVERY DAY. My theory is that - even if I weigh myself every day and the number goes up and down, at the end of two weeks there should be a real change. Well, at the end of every week I always weigh the same and, as of yesterday, I managed to gain 2 lbs.,…
