Beer, always.

Can you replace it with a generic, circular magnet? I know that sort of ruins the whole safety aspect of the device, though.

On the subject of calories and eating out, I went to Red Lobster last night and ate a 610 calorie meal (or something around that range), and was full for the whole night. It's nice to know that restaurants are offering meals like that. Makes me not feel so bad about treating myself. :P

Well, you're still looking awesome, so no worries. It is sort of misleading, though. But, then again, it is McDonalds. :P

My uncle once ate a raw chicken breast while completely drunk on a camping trip. He ended up puking it all up and going back to the nightly festivities. However, if your immune system is compromised, you may want to call your doctor about the issue.

Clothes weren't fitting anymore.

Well done!!

I often never feel like eating in the morning; but, I do anyways. A grapefruit, some yogurt, or some Cheerios can go a long way. Oh, and a cup of coffee, of course. ;)
-
If I had to choose, it'd be to eat 1200 and then exercise. I wouldn't advise either option, even in a hypothetical situation, though.
-
Thanks for all of the advice, folks. :) I might get a calorie counter, just to have, in case I run into any other odd jobs in the future.

You could buy a yogurt maker. They're cheap and easy to use. I've used one before; the plain is somewhat sour, but if you add some sugar to it (just be careful of how much), it can taste really good. If you're into Splenda, maybe you'd want to use that. Or sweeten it up with some fruit of your own.

"My dog ate my exercise routine."

I'm always ready to make new friends.

Nothing to worry about. You'll be fine! :) If it makes you feel any better, I downed 4 pieces of pizza yesterday at 250cal each. Let's just say I had A LOT of work to do at the gym...

I might be fat, but I've only gone to fast food restaurants a handful of times in my life--and I'm so thankful for that! Those sauces look toxic. Sickening.

You're awesome! Great work!

Well, you're not a failure. But, kapeluza was spot-on: take control of your life now! Just think, in three months time, you could shed 20+ pounds. Imagine how good that will feel? Personally, I can't wait. Everyone has their ups and downs when working toward a goal. When you finally reach it, then you'll prove to yourself…

The OP has a really good point. Forums are supposed to be a fun way for people to share ideas, chit-chat and discuss things with each other. And the MFP has the additional benefit of a support system.

Nice! Thanks!

I think it's stressed enough that one should come close to their daily caloric goal, both by MFP and by the community. I never saw the "was under his/her calorie goal" message as a reward for coming in under your recommended calories. I simply saw the message as a notification, capable of being commented on (positively or…

I notice the skin on my biceps isn't as flabby. I'm lovin' it!

Perhaps find a way to get rid of that stress. Maybe take a jog? Do some writing? Vent about your issues with a friend? I had a friend who was a stress eater. He weighed 300lbs. at one point, and finally decided that whenever he was stressed out and felt like eating (or smoking a cigarette), he'd go for a run. Last I saw…

I've quit for good. But, don't get me wrong--I loved smoking. What drove me to quit were two things: it exacerbated my asthma and I wanted to be healthy for my loved ones, especially my girlfriend. Since quitting nearly 4 years ago (on Jan 1st), my asthma's been mild. I also lost the girlfriend, but that doesn't matter.…

To be safe, and if you're really interested in whether or not you have what it takes to be a model, perhaps you could audition at an agency nearby? Frankly, I wouldn't trust this fellow.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. My best wishes go out to you and your family.
-
Fair point, aflane. I've adjusted my measurements on MFP. Luckily, it's not a dramatic difference Thanks for the support, folks.

I'm on the track to doing just about the same thing. You can do it! :D

I've been contemplating going vegan for a while now. I'm so easily won over by a delicious burger, though.
