Cheers! Good post. Best wishes in your journey!

At 5'2" you look like you're at 180-190 pounds and probably 49% BF, but it's difficult to tell with only a belly shot. Arms and legs are important too. The group "Eat, Train, Progress" could help you with this. I'd recommend looking into that group for guidance. You could be at your current weight and be at 20% BF if you…

I think that the OP's spouse did it perfectly! He's supportive, honest, and doesn't make the weight a condition of their relationship, marriage, etc. He is concerned about her health, not her looks on his arm. I love the support, motivation, and feedback my husband gives me. When I read about other people's SO's being mean…

Nine years is a long time to give to someone. My personal belief is that people would have happier marriages if they didn't shack up before they got married, but our current culture encourages this. Anyway, you're an adult; you can do as you wish. I would suggest that you finish your degree but make sure that you don't get…

You're AWESOME! And such cute gifs, too! Can we just clone you and sprinkle you all over MFP?

@wheird Not posting for your benefit but for the OP, who seemed to not understand that the entire premise of BMI is false and misleading. And hey, I learned that from reading the "Eat, Train, Progress" group info. Sidesteel and Sarauk2sf are very intelligent people and they don't use BMI as an indicator. @EvgeniZyntx This…

This is great! Congratulations, and keep up the good work!

It is possible that your blood sugar is the reason. Try to space out your meals so you eat 5-6 times a day, about 3 hours apart and see if that helps. Good luck to you!

BMI is pseudo-science devised in the early 1800's. It's merely someone's weight and height ratio, and has nothing to do with their body fat percentage or their health.

Hi Brismum! First realize that YOU ARE WORTH THE EFFORT! As moms we tend to put ourselves last in everything, including health. You are worth it! Secondly, a friend on this site reminded me that it starts with small steps! A small change! Just 10 minutes walking in place, if that's all you can do, or on the elliptical, or…

A Stud-ette? Ha! ~ Congratulations on completing the run and on meeting such a neat lady. Here's to many more miles and wonderful events like this!

It would be wise to consult with your doctor, since fasting and diabetes is a dangerous combination. In the Christian faith, if someone wants to fast but has a medical reason that makes it unwise, then they can fast from things other than food; from TV, chocolate, or their daily coffee, for instance. With your doctor's…

Your legs look great! You look svelte! Congratulations - fantastic job!

Firstly, your wife probably knows you better than anyone else, and you know her better than anyone. At least, we hope that is the case with married couples. Here is what I am hearing though; I could be completely wrong, but here goes. At family dinners/potlucks/holidays it sounds like the gathering has historically been…

My dear, they are your clients, not your family. Don't let your heart cross that line. They consider you hired help, no matter how nice they may seem or how long you know them. Figure out what your rules are: how much notice do you need for overnight schedules and cancellations? If they cancel on you last minute, do they…

I agree. When people want encouragement or advice they don't want to be bashed or ridiculed. This would be more effective overall if it was a safe place where people can reach out, but there are a lot of people in the world who enjoy being hurtful and call it being honest. OP, I'm with you on this.

Wow that's great! That's two sizes less, and I'm sure your horse is happy too! Congratulations!

As previously stated, cyclists have the same rights on the roads as motorists, and when an alternative route is not available, they can even ride on the freeway! Yes it's true in the USA. I wish that people who rode against the traffic or broke traffic laws on their bikes would be held accountable, but that rarely happens.…

You are amazing! Your husband too! It's so wonderful to see you doing this together. Thank you for sharing!

Down the drain with it.

This week I GAINED 5 pounds and I'm not pregnant or an invalid! So maintaining would have been a success! Don't feel badly; at least you're not losing ground!
-
Amen, I'm right there with you! I'm a 5'1.75" woman.... totally wrong for my caloric desires!
-
Wait - wait... no drama? What kind of a thread is this?! Ha ha! Congratulations and good job to both of you. I wish you many more decades life together to come!
-
Best wishes for your journey! Sometimes I feel like every day is my first day! Eep!
-
Wow! You're an inspiration! Good job!
-
Your profile picture looks really healthy and slim. It think that you're worried over nothing.
-
Walk or bike. Best of luck!

First amendment, folks. I appreciated the OP's clarification. Now on to other things? Live and let live. Find something to get upset about that actually matters in life.

So sorry about your parents. No kid should have to go through losing their parents. But that being said, someone should have kept you from dating an adult when you were still a kid... and probably still reeling from losing your mom and dad. Someone in life must have been your guardian at seventeen. Still the point remains;…

It actually sounds like the kind of thing a man who is having an affair will say to make you push him away, so that he feels justified in what he's doing. Either way, he needs to stop being so cruel to you. That's abuse, plain and simple. I'm proud of you for getting out of this toxic relationship!
