I am having success on Atkins also with a Paleo twist. I can not do anything artificial or processed. I don't eat as many carbs/fruit as paleo right now but will move toward that on maintenance. I do not think I will add in grains. I do SO much better off them. South Beach not nearly enough fat to keep me full.

I vary the amount of carbs I eat every day bc I don't obsess over them really any more. I high day would be 80 and a low day would be 25. I would say on average I do around 40 a day.

I think I definitely have a gluten intolerance. I was scoped for celiac which was negative but was miserable to cut out ALL sources of wheat on my own. But was eating all kinds of gluten free treats still and feeling bloated and depressed. I think for me it is the combo of sugar and carbs effecting me.

Fruit is nature's candy. If you are losing while eating it then ...... I have cut out sugars while I get lean and lose fat. A typical day for me has around 15 gr. through veggies.
