Yes you are not alone! For me, it's slipping into emotional eating that gets me- a combo of stress at work, fatigue, boredom and TOM! It's a vicious cycle. It takes me a while to get my motivation back, like now, after 4 weeks of just binge eating and no exercise I started to notice my jeans were getting a little tight…

Yes for both

I only eat brussel sprouts once a year- usually around Christmas time. They're not so bad when they're doused in gravy and cranberry sauce.

Mmmm as soon as I saw this thread I suddenly have a sudden craving for a peppered mackerel

I'm on BP meds and have been for most of my life due to a kidney problem, so I mainly have cooked meals with NO salt. And if I do end up eating a meal that is high in sodium, I up my water intake.

Hello from rainy London.

I've used it a few times and I am guaranteed to be dripping in sweat after each workout. I wear my HRM whilst doing it and I usually burn over 300 calories. If I used it diligently, then I would definitely see a massive improvement, but I haven't so I can't comment. But with every exercise, doing it regularly always gives…

I agree, IF you're hungry? But 28 calories shouldn't really affect you. If you're hungry, then eat, if you aren't then I say leave it. At the end of the day there is no "REAL" accuracy to the exact amount of calories eaten a day, but if you're eating in moderation and choosing the healthier options with a balance of…

Haha Love it!

I used to check everyday, and then it just got obsessive so now I check once a month.

Nice. I unfortunately buy the crappy pre-prepared bags because I'm lazy but it DOES drive me mad how it doesn't last long enough. Thanks for the tip!

I usually have a protein shake but I add a whole banana into the mix. It curbs my hunger for a couple of hours!

London Calling! Hey all, My May goals: ~ To kick start Couch to 10K ~ To keep at the training ~ To stop making excuses of NOT exercising, even if it's 10 mins! (Every little helps :P ) ~ To drink more water I could've easily gotten used to all those Bank HOLIDAYS! But if we had Bank Holidays everyday, I would most…

Liked your intro! Hi from London!

Not quite eating pavement, but I was walking along the train platform and I was the only one walking along it and a lot of people were already there waiting for the train when suddenly a pigeon underestimated its flight route and smacked its wings in my face. Of all the weirdest things, it happened to me. The bystanders…

Yes, what he said! But you could always up your water intake/ green tea and exercise beforehand

Don't have too much soya sauce- has tons of sodium in it. Miso soup is nice but also has lots of sodium in it. Have sashimi! Yummy source of protein! Or even Agedashi tofu! Or salmon terriyaki For something a little indulgent - Chicken Katsu Curry mmmm! Oh and edamame beans is always a nice starter. Watch…

I love green tea. I find it's a nice cleanser for my kidneys and general well-being.

This is true. I've never been overweight, and have a moderately active lifestyle, and no matter how healthy I eat, my high blood pressure will not go down unless I keep taking my BP meds. Besides the reason for my high BP partly caused by my kidney issues, it DOES also run in my family. My parents has it, my grandfather…

Polar are the most popular. I got the Polar F7 that comes with a chest strap. I got mine from Amazon.co.uk It shows your target zone for burning calories but doesn't have GPS. My other half has the Garmin FR60 which comes with the foot peg and chest strap and that calculates the distance and calories burnt. They're a…

Yes, I suffer from hypertension and take blood pressure meds. Recently, my doc told me to stop taking the tablets, as I was getting some side effects ie. urticaria, so I'm switching to another type. This site is excellent :) I also try not to eat too much processed foods and mainly cook meals from scratch. But it IS…

Ok thanks for that  and for the previous post with the article. I just found out from my friend who just went on holiday to Ilocos Norte that they are at a safe place and are staying away from the coast. But nothing dramatic as what has happened today in Japan. It's so upsetting seeing the footage on the news.…

Has anyone heard anything about Philippines? It's already 8pm there, but no latest news as it said it would hit between 5-7pm.

Unfortunately, they are there forever. No product can get rid of them. I have some, and I haven't got kids! I've been using Palmer's Cocoa Butter for some time now, I've not seen a difference but I like the smell lol

bump So scary watching the cars drive away with the tsunami right behind them on the BBC News. 19 people reported dead, 6 confirmed dead.
-
No I didn't purchase it through Polar. I actually found the belt on Amazon (UK) but it's still Polar.
-
That has recently happened to my Polar, but I have the FT7. I've had it less than a year, and I changed the batteries also, but that didn't work, so I purchased a new chest belt. That did the trick. I guess I wore out the belt! :noway:
