Friday QOTD: That's a toughy!! I'm thinking Pazooki's from BJ's Brewhouse!! Warm melted cookie (chocolate chip, red velvet, double chocolate, etc) with delicious, homemade ice cream! :-D

Eating is a social thing, but when people try to tempt you to eat something which you know you shouldn't, and (probably) they know you shouldn't, what do you say?/How do you deal with it? eg: When people say, ' Oh just one, it won't hurt.' etc etc Any good tips out there? My mom is pretty bad about being an enabler like…

What length triathlon? I'm currently training for a half- and full- marathon (Oct & March) but triathlons are my real goal--I'm doing a couple of Sprint Tri's next year (March & June), a marathon next October, and I'm aiming for a half-ironman in 2013 :-D

Way to go, Pink Team!! I started this week's challenge with a 10 mile run :D I'm very excited! (And I'm going to bring it this week.) A friend of mine on here suggested 1,000 jumping jacks a day (10x100) because you burn 1 calorie per every two jumping jacks a.k.a. 1,000 jacks x 7 days = 7,000 jacks / 2 calories = 3,500…

I initally started a while back, but fell off the bandwagon pretty quick and let the app sit dormant on my phone. In July of this year (2011), I got back into and haven't quit since! I started at about 160 and I'm down about 9 lbs, but I've still got a good way to go. Right now I'm pretty steady at about 151-152--my first…

Wednesday QoTD: Has anyone experienced different treatment by others as you have lost or gained weight? , and if not how do you think our society treats "overweight" people in general ? Honestly, I have one of those frames where I can pretty easily gain/lose 10 or so pounds and the only place anyone can see it is a little…

Monday’s QoTD: Name your top pantry staples that you've added to your repertoire since starting your journey and how you most often use them. Please be specific. Eggs! And whole ones, too. I used to only eat egg whites and I realized I wasn't eating nearly enough calories, so I've added a yolk to every 3 whites. :) Almond…

Thursday QOTD - Whats the one food that you've found the hardest to give up? and do u on occasion treat yourself to it? Cheese! I'm lactose intolerant so I keep away most of the time, but occasionally I get the itch to order my tomato basil soup and "accidently" forget to say "no parmesan on top, please." As long as I keep…

Monday QOTD: So we all know we're all here to lose weight and we all said why we want to lose the weight, but how did you get to the point where you realized you had to do something about it and what made you realize this?? This is easy: after months night after night binges and waking up in the morning feeling awful, fat,…

I do love me some water :) I just have to remember to log it!! I was telling my team, I usually drink upwards of 10+ glasses a day but I NEVER log any of it... Upside to this challenge for all you ladies who DON'T LIKE water: 1) less dry skin 2) less chapped lips 3) less water weight 4) a fresher, more "glowing" look 5)…

Great job everybody!! Let's step up our game, Pink Team :) I'm in it to win it this week (since I'm both in town with a real laptop AND I now know there's a weekly discussion group), so I'm ready to drop some pounds. Let's see it, ladies! :)

So what's going on with this challenge? Any questions/short term challenges or anything going on yet?

How do you get those Sexy in 6 and Team Pink pictures into your signature?? I want one!

Howdy! My name is Kaleigh and I'm a 21 year old college student. While I wouldn't ever say I was a "fat" girl, I definitely have been "chubby" pretty much all my life. My freshman year of high school I lost a ton of weight from an illness and rang in about 136. Six months ago I would say that I would kill to look like that…

Good morning!! I'm down 4 lbs--152 this morning :)
-
Embarrassingly enough, I tend to bust out the ol' Folie A Deux album by Fall Out Boy. The actual music is interesting and it has enough angst and beat to keep me going.
-
I'm so excited about this! We'll blow people away when it's all said and done! Plus, we'll finish it just in time to maintain so we can wear those sexy little halloween costumes ;)
-
I know exactly what you mean!! I used to have my calorie goal set to 1250, and I always felt so awful and guilty if I ever went over even a little bit. Since then, I've wised up, starting eating food again, and lost some weight! I upped my goal to 1650 and even though I usually still aim for around the 12-1400 mark, the…

I'm with Chris also--my boyfriend is super fit (and has always been debatably better looking than me, even back when we were in high school) and I would LOVE to be a piece of smokin' hot arm candy!!

Hello everybody!! My name is Kaleigh and I'm a 21 year old college student from Texas. I've done the up and down thing (as a matter of fact, I was 152 mid march of this year and 161 at the start of June BUT I buckled down and started using my MFP tracker religiously mid-July, and I'm already back down to 152.6) but I'm…

I have to second that. The black dress is so flattering, and those shoes are adorable!!

That's amazing! It really is surprising how much tracking what you eat can have an effect on WHAT you eat and how much weight you lose. Congratulations on persevering through all that you've been through and for achieving that age old hope for weight loss. :)
-
I finally found the new thread :-p So I checked in my weight on Monday, but it seems I've dropped a little since then! I'm hoping to keep it down for next week's weigh-in so I can finally get some serious loss on that chart ;)
-
Dang!! Almost 40 pounds since the start of May?! What are you doing? You look great :)
-
Pretty tough for me! I've been doing a lot of snack food eating with my parents :( So at the end of week two, I'm still only 156 (two lbs lost since the start). I REALLY have to get back on the ball, but I'm going on vacation next week so I'm going to need all the support I can get!! :-p
-
Yeah, I'm trying to stay away from dieting because I've tried them all and always gained back the weight. Now I'm focusing more on my health and I'm training for a half-marathon WITHOUT setting any weight loss goals. No disappointment there! That way, I can only be proud of myself when it's over :D

Down to 156 :) Hooray!
