  • Hello  Sounds like you are about to start a great new chapter in your life...congrats & good luck!! I am a few years older than you but, I live in Boston. It's a wicked cool place to live!! Feel free to add me.
  • I usually have the munchies when I get home from work. I try to have dinner ready (crockpot) within half an hour of getting home. If I can't wait I will have a glass of cold water. If that still doesn't work I have carrot sticks until it's time to eat. My late night munchies are watermelon and air pop popcorn. Both I keep…
  • Good for you!! I used to drown my salad in dressing. I used to use way more than a normal serving. But, now I have the dressing on the side & dip my fork into the dressing before going into the salad. Every bite gets some dressing and I save lots of calories. Turns out a little does go a long way.
  • I have severe eczema as well. I have delt with it from a young age. I def suggest a 'clean' diet ~ it truely helps. Also, for the late night itches oatmeal baths do the trick. Soak in a luke warm oatmeal bath. It's amazing. I have been known to take 2 a night. Also, keep his skin hydrated with fragrance free lotions. Use…
  • That is just one persons opinion. I personally LOVE PB and couldn't live without it. I have some every day.
  • I am going to a mexican restaurant this weekend and am trying to plan ahead. My plan is to avoid the chips and salsa. I can't just have one and would prefer to use my calories more wisely. I am going to go for a nice long run in the morning to burn a few extra claories and load up on fruit & veggies during the day. I…
  • Pork is cooking away in the crockpot. When we get home tonight we will have some nice fresh pulled pork. And, homemade sweet potato fries.
  • Please feel free to add me for support. I am a working mom of an active one year old. I have learned that the key to a sucessful workout routine is to be flexible and think outside of the box. Also, don't beat yourself up if you miss a day or two. Every day is different for me because, when you are a mom of a todler you…
  • You can do it. Get it done & out of the way early. Bonus you earn some extra calories you can eat back durning the day :drinker:
  • ^^^^^^ This is me as well. A very active toddler, a demanding job and a hectic social life with friends & family. I have learned to be flexible with my workout schedule. Please feel free to add me for support
  • You look awesome!! Stand tall & be proud!!
  • Thank you!! I also tend to eat under my carb goal. I am going to increase my Fiber goal.
  • I bring left overs from last nights dinner. I also, keep tuna, eggs, pasta on hand for last minute lunches.
  • ^^^^^^^^ This is true for my son as well. I always made his 'baby' food. His day care would tell me that he has the best diet out of all the kids. I think introducing a variety of foods at a young age has encouraged my son to have a healthy diet.
  • I agree with you. I have a one year old son and he eats what we eat. I have to admit there are some exceptions ~ if I use a spicy marinade/rub on my chix I will cook him a plan piece but, I have him try the spicey one too. My son will pick fruits & veggies over cookies & cupcakes any day. I do know that when he gets older…
  • Please feel free to add me. I am a mother of a 1yr old handsome son. Finding the perfect balance between family, work and fitness can be hard but, well worth it!!
  • Marinate some turkey tips ~ they are the bomb when grilled!! Grill up some fresh seasonal veggies as a nice side dish
  • When I run in the mornings. I will have a glass of water before I head out. Once I come back I usually have cereal (cheerios, shredded wheat or oatmeal) and a banana. If I ended up being pressed for time (sometimes I get really into my runs and forget about everything else) I will make a multi grain english muffin with PB…
  • Faking stats in MFP or faking in bed are only hurting yourself... I have no reason to fake in either case :blushing:
  • ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Agree with this. I LOVE my crockpot & use it a couple of times a week. I work long days away from home and wish I had a programable one.
  • Bahahahaha!!!! SO true ~ once you have seen one you have seen them all. They are all the same.
  • No problem  Hope you enjoy it!!

  • I make baked mac & cheese with it. It's a lighter & healthier version and I swear no one every knows and there is never any left overs. I also, put it in pasta bakes...it melts nice & creamy.
  • Sorry to hear about your loss :frown: But, on a happier note welcome to MFP  Please feel free to add me for support
  • Be flexible!! What might work today may not tomorrow. I take advantage of what every few mins I have. Some days it's a morning work out before my son wakes up. Some days it's a evening workout after my son is in bed. Somedays I don't get my workouts in but, it's okay because there is always tomorrow. Weekends I try do…
  • The Fiber One Brownies are great with coffee and only 90calories. Or there are many granola bars out there for about 100calories.
  • Welcome!! Feel free to add me. I am also a full time working busy mom. Trying to balance my job, my family, my house and a heathly lifestyle. I have learned that every day is different and sometimes I have to adjust my workout schedule. I try to cook once & eat twice - as in I try to get two meals out of every one that I…
