  • thank you for this, we have pretty much the same stats. My starting weight was 171, current is 156 and goal is 145 so your pics defintely helped motivate me!! Thank you and GREAT JOB!
  • If you are not hungry, food is not the answer. If you bite it, write it.
  • I like WW becuase it takes away the guesswork.. people on here say eat 1200,1500,2000 calories and I never know what's right for me. WW takes away the guess work and works for me if I follow the program.
  • Nuts, avocado, full fat dairy.. all the stuff most of us avoid because its high in calories!
  • Some black teas have almost as much caffeine as coffee. Try Chai, spicy or fruit teas (sweet but no caffeine). Many brands have sampler packs you can try so start there. Take a stroll in the tea aisle fo the grocery store and see what catches your eye! I'm an english breakfast fan myself but its pretty caffeinated.
  • Great abs are made in the kitchen! how you look is 80% diet and 20% training.
  • I have this problem too. I am incredibly bored at work right now and although I am not hungry I find myself wanting to eat. I do a couple of thigns: 1 drink 3L+ water everyday, so if i want to chew I just keep guzzling. I have gum with me, that way i'm keeping my mouth busy. I never bring money with me that I could use in…
  • One day at a time. i also signed up for stickk.com which had me set a goal, put money on the line and select a "referee" to keep me accountable. So far its had me lose 8lbs... I haven' t been able to do that in 2 years because I suck at keeping myself accountable. Get some momentum going, get one good meal, one good day,…
  • I still don't think its the same as someone that has been overweight their whole life and tried everything possible to lose weight, and damaged their metabolism in the process. Muscles also have memory so it was easier for him to regain his original muscle tone than someone who had never had any muscle tone. Although I…
  • Okay, so you may not like this but here goes. I also have hypothyroid I have been on medication for years. Last year I could not lose weight, I was working out for 1-2hours a day doing cardio and weights, I was eating 5-6 small meals of high quality food. I could not lose. I went to the dr and the endocrinologist...…
  • It would help if we could see your diary to know what you're eating. Its hard to give advice without more information.. how many calories are you eating, are you working out etc. Otherwise its just shots in the dark.
  • Weightwatchers is really great for beginners. I have been on and off weight watchers for many many years. I find it easier to track points becuse there's no debate about how much to eat. On MFP there are people who tell you to eat 1200,1500,1800 calories and since I can never figure out what I really should eb eating I…
  • I really liked Isagenix. i did their 10 day program and lost about 10lbs... about 7 of which I kept off. The cleanse days are tough, you're hungry but the shakes are yummy. I've also tried their cream of chicken soup and liked it. The products are expensive but totally worth it in my opinion.

  • Nuts, avocados, full fat instead of low/fat free...
  • Keep snacks in your car! Plan ahead and have a cooler with you.... nuts, cut up veggies, yogurt. I also find sugar free gum and a good slug of water will help. Figure out how long you would have to exercise to burn off that meal.. that usually discourages me. Hunger hasn't killed me yet, you are stronger than fast food.…
  • I did this last week... i am staying with friends and they have a candy dish with Lindt truffles in it. I kept sneaking one. Well, that one became probably 4-5 in a day but it didn't make it into my tracker. My weight stayed the same this week.. coincidence? I think not. You can fool yourself but your body knows…
  • You should eat your minimum calories to keep your metabolism humming. Add some nuts or avocado to your meals or choose full fat over low fat/fat free. That way you're getting in more calories without adding a lot of extra food. Bottom line, you need to eat to lose.
  • Your body doesn't respond immediately all the time.... sometimes it takes time. For example it can take me several weeks of eating well to see losses and several weeks of eating poorly to see significant gains. Your body adapts to a routine, so what worked for a while may not work now. Also... hunger levels change with…
  • Use it as a reminder/motivation not to do it again!
  • Yes.. if you don't drink coffee/tea, don't like anything fizzy (like club soda or tonic water) and don't want to spend calories on juice then water is what you're looking at... however, you can always add fresh fruit to your water to make it more interesting.
  • Its not bad... you could probably add in some more fruits and veg but overall its okay.
  • Go to settings up top, click on diary settings. Scroll down and allow public access to your diary. It will allow people to see what you've been eating and have much better feedback!
  • I have to weigh every morning. i have literally considered taking my scale with me when I travel so that I can still weigh everday.

  • I find that if i'm not hungry and don't eat the next day I am ravenous and tend to overeat because I think I had fewer calories the day before.
  • I didn't like this season. I'm a loyal fan and have pretty watched every season since the show started. This season was just disappointing. I didn't feel like Condo or Jeremy even looked that good. I mean credit to Jeremy for losing 199lbs but it seems like other season winners looked better at the end. hopefully next…
  • Make a list of the reasons you want to lose weight.. and then get up and DO something.. inertia works.. if you stay on the couch what your'e going to want to do is stay on the couch.. if you start working out you will be more liekly to keep working out. Noone can motivate you but you, you hvae to want this. Set yourself a…
  • I say if its not broken, don't fix it.... keep losing weight (no more than 2lbs a week) and when you stop losing weight, then start changing things. What abbreviations do you need help with. there are lots :)
  • Probably.. depending on how many calories you are burning during exercise. Remember, MFP already calculated in a deficit for you so i wouldn't drop below 1200 NET.
  • I say switch to maintenance and workout to tone those areas. You may find you lose a little extra doing that anyways.
  • So firstly, working out can make you temporarily gain water weight so it can be from that but a couple of things catch my eye... firstly you say you're usually under your calories and secondly you say you eat junk almost everyday. So.. those are two easy fixes.. 1. make sure you're eating all of your calories.. especially…
