I'm not sure my diary will be inspiring. I'm working on getting closer to meeting my macros. Trying to lose about 15lbs. I will send you a friend request. Sarah

Go back to tracking your food. Find a way to get those high calorie foods in within your daily range (which sounds like you can go high). Or just track your food without any changes. If you go back to your old habits you'll find yourself at 230 again. Go back to basics... and remember how good this feels The stomach…

I'm sure you can, i'm just not sure why you would want to. Exercise has so many benefits besides more food.. it seriously keeps me happy and sane most days. I sleep better when I exercise and my body generally hurts/aches less. Our bodies were meant to move. However, i'm very lucky that I can exercise. I think you could…

Thank you. i am very new to maintenance and trying to figure it all out. i did a really long bike ride last week on Monday. I wasn't hungry that day but on Tuesday I could have eaten my arm!

Several things.. one is that I set myself a goal to reach a certain weight by a certain date. Then i found someone to hold me accountable to that goal and have a reward/punishment for not reaching it. The scale and clothing are their own motivators. I could hve bought a size 4 jeans the other day! that's never happened.…

I train with a triathlon team and all our training is heart rate based. I had my VO2 max tested over a year ago. It gave me my HR Zones to work in (we work in mostly zone 2) which is still aerobic and where you get the biggest benefit with the smallest breakdown for your body (important when you are training 6x week). My…

Due to your unique medical issues I might advise seeing a dietician who can help. I know it can be very hard to lose with PCOS (or at least so I've heard!). Make sure you're doing the right things in the right way, might at least be worth looking into?

You could also try looking at Paleo for athletes. Although I am not a Paleo fan, it basically says carbs are okay right before, during or after exercise. Even on this no grain diet.

Add some avocado to your wrap. Or have a tablespoon of nut butter. Easy ways to get in some calories but not much volume.

I would recommend eating more during the day so then you are not suddenly hungry at night. Of course if you don't eat Breakfast and have a small lunch you will be very hungry. Eat more consistently!

Make a list of why you want to do this. Set some goals (make them SMART -specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely). Start tracking your food. You can do this and you are right NOW is the time (it doesn't get any easier as you get older!)
-
how badly do you want it? Even just some exercise may help.

I haven't had one in the last several weeks. I am doing really great on my weight loss so now I am afraid to start! However, I think once I get closer to goal I may add some in. Just one meal/day per week and track it. Oh, and the Chinese food was probably all the msg that made you feel crappy.

Can you do upper body movements? maybe just overhead presses with your arms? Could you swim as that isn't weight bearing, or maybe just walk in a pool? Every little but counts so if you are walking slowly its better than nothing!

Our society is not set up for health and weight loss. There are triggers everwhere.. food commericials, candy and snacks in EVERY shop. As humans we are programmed to eat when food is available. Plus it takes time to build new habits. If we were learning to drive or learn a new language we would expect it to take time.…

Can you have them put it in a separate place, like a separate cupboard, that way you don't ever need to go into that cupboard? Take it one day at a time. For today I will have no junk food. Find ways to distract yourself If you want junk food, take a walk, call a friend, read the message boards.. anything for 20mins to see…

I was just struggling with this myself this morning. It takes a long time for the brain to catch up. Our heads get stuck. I have to use external reminders.. like my BMI is now in a normal weight category, or that I'm wearing a size 6 jeans (I used to be a 14-16). I think you will have good days and bad days, but you just…

Love it! a great reminder that if you're not losing, you're eating too much and that the starvation mode is pretty much bull

Start just by tracking what you are eating now, and trying to stay under your calories requirements. Do some research on eating healthier foods (staying on the perimeter of the grocery store, foods with limited ingredients), then start to experiement with new foods. Make it a gradual change. There's a lot of conflicting…

You have to change something. When a craving hits what do you do.. distract yourself? if you're one of those people that can build in a treat meal or splurge then will that help? look back at what makes you derail and do something different. If you keep doing the same thing, you'll keep getting the same results.

Three of my triathlon friends and I went out to ihop after swim practice the other day. We all had the "pick-a-pancake".. so two pancakes, eggs, hash browns and sausage.. 1100 calories!! yikes! we only burned about 300 in swim. The other one was the cinnamon crunch bagel from Panera.. 420cals! its so easy to eat over your…

When exercise is tough and i'm having a whiny day I frequently think about this. I think about all the people that would love to be able to run.. the disabled, the chronically ill... I was running one day, having a rough run and a double amputee went by on a recumbent bike. I shut up and took a moment to be grateful that I…

I miss Nutella. I can't keep a jar in the house.. I eat it with a spoon. There are some foods you just can't moderate. *sigh* but yes, being thinner is totally worth it!
-
I can do any of these but credit to you for making cucumber, vinegar and dill taste like chips!!
-
Would you rather have a lower number on the scale (that noone but you knows) or lose inches and get smaller where everyone can see? I'd rather be smaller personally!
-
You could do a thermos with soups/stews. Cold cuts/veggies, salads. Make sandwiches but use lettuce for bread.
-
there is no quick fix for weight loss...

I"ve never tried this but might solve your problem http://rippedcoffeecreamer.com/

Can you open your diary so we can look?

They are usually pretty high in sodium so if that's a concern for you then they are not good. usually the way to tell is to check the ingredients. If you can't pronounce everything, then its not good for you.
