  • I do a 100calorie Designer Whey Shake in the afternoon. Takes the edge off the hunger inbetween lunch and dinner.
  • Looks like there is. I'm going to guess its present in the soil and gets absorbed. Your body needs some sodium to function properly (kidneys and muscle contractions) so it isn't bad to have sodium. Just have to watch your levels and avoid "added" sodium.
  • Tastes good with a scoop of protein powder mixed in! or Fiber one cereal and blueberries.
  • Moderation is fantastic. My mother always said a little of what you like won't hurt you. However, for me, I eat donuts maybe twice a year. I eat fast food about that much too. One donut a week won't kill you and if it keeps you happy I say keep doing it. For me they just don't taste good enough for how many calories are in…
  • Okay, firstly eggs won't raise your cholesterol.. especially not just one or two. If you're really worried about it just have the egg whites but that won't help you with calories. If you're struggling to eat enough add in some full fat items... chocolate milk, full fat dairy, add in some nuts or some string cheese or…
  • Umm, try eating more?? You're not eating 1200 most days and the days you're working out you're eating even less. You're probably starving!
  • Black Bean Salsa chicken 1 pkg boneless skinless chicken breasts (can be frozen or fresh) 2 (15oz) canned white corn , rinsed. 1 can Black Beans Rinsed 1 can White Kidney Beans Rinsed 1 large jar salsa Put all ingredients in the crockpot, cook on high 4-5 hrs or low 8-10 or whenever you can easily shred the chicken…
  • P.S Congrats on the alcohol and cigarettes. I am two months free of Alcohol!
  • For me its about small changes. I try to limit the amount of packaged food I eat. This obviously starts at the grocery store, so for the most part I snack on fruits/veggies. I choose whole meat, dairy and grains. Today's menu: Greek yogurt with ezekiel bread and fruit for breakfast. Egg salad sandwich with ezekiel bread…
  • Basically anythign that comes in a box, bag or packaged is going to be high in sodium. I do sandwiches for lunch but will do home made egg salad or Natural PB & honey (both around 200g sodium). I use Ezekiel bread. You can make your own soups which will drastically cut the sodium. You basically have to keep to whole foods…
  • Then for right now I would focus more on calories than on macronutrients. As you lose more weight and get closer to your goal you'll want to focus more on real foods.
  • High calorie snacks... nuts have good fats. Eat full fat dairy, cook your veg in olive oil or use it as a dressing.. add in some cheese. Look for high calorie low volume snacks (basically the opposite of what the rest of us are looking for!). If you like avocado that's a good one too.
  • it would be easier to help you if you open your diary. Basically if you're eating anything packaged your sodium is going to be through the roof. If you are eating clean it isnt' that hard to keep sodium down (you can see my dairy for today if you want to look). Sodium is really important if you are trying to lose the last…
  • I often find that if I am sore that cardio is what helps it go away fastest. Be careful with running that you don't do too much too fast and rish injury, but its its just sore overworked muscles (injury pain and sore pain are two different things). Go for it.
  • Eggs, yogurt, oatmeal with flax and nuts, or PB. There are also some high protein cereals like Kashi.
  • At the end of the day its overall calories, so if you are eating all your calories it probably won't affect it much. The problem is if you don't eat firstly you increase the risk of being hungry and going over calories. Secondly eating actually causes a slight rise in metabolism so skipping meals may mean you burn less…
  • Okay, so firstly a plateau is not one week. A plateau is three or more weeks with no weight loss. Give your body time to adjust. This week my weight went up two pounds for no reason at all. However, I kept eating healthily all week and it can off on Sunday. Your body will fluctuate. there are changes going on that you…
  • just take it one day at a time and make yourself do it everyday! so if you want to start exercising, start with just 10 mins but do it everyday, don't let up for a day.. once you get some momentum going you can add more!
  • I would put each one into my tracker and see what my options are, then weigh it out from there. You can also treat yourself but you'll have to plan for it.
  • I added you!
  • Always looking for great blogs. I don't blog but here are some I read: www.priorfatgirl.com www.theantijared.com www.aliontherunblog.com www.bendoeslife.com
  • Missing some key information.. like how tall you are and how much you weigh now. 1100 is pretty low but you could be 4ft 5 in which case maybe not. You should do what works for you, if it works.. more power to you. I couldn't do that low 6 days a week. However, calories restriction tends to work. give it a shot I suppose.
  • Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead SuperSIze Me Fast Food Nation (put you off fast food!) Food Inc - heard its good, haven't seen it.
  • Yes, it can be true. if you have a lot of weight to lose it can come off faster in the beginning. The last ten lbs is tough. However, no weight loss is easy.
  • Oh, i'm right there with you. Yesterday and today I"ve been STARVING! and over on calories. I think part of it may be because I went back to the gym this week but really. its 11:05am and I've already eaten both afternoon snacks. i've been drinking water but I"m hungry! alright, I'll stop whining now.
  • I do both. I tried tracking calories for a long time but the problem is, I can never figure out exactly how many calories to eat (my TDEE is 1870 but MFP set me at 1200). WW for me just takes away some of the guess work. I dont' have to worry about my calories (which fluctuate depending on which foods you choose). I just…
  • There is no magic pill for this, you jsut have to want it more than you want the food. Its not easy, if it were then everyone would be thin! Make a list of why you want to lose the weight and post it in prominent places. Make a list of things you can do when you don't want to eat. Track everything you eat, set up rewards…
  • Love that stuff... the orange is my favorite. Gave me a really great energy burst for working out!
  • I have noticed I'm more prone to side stitches in the week prior or the week of TOM. So probably not all in your imagination :)
