I always buy the stuff I don;t like to hand out so I'm not tempted to eat any. Here are few interesting examples of some of the ones I won;t be touching. http://www.care2.com/greenliving/8-grossest-candies.html

I can't believe no one has said turnips. They are most disgusting things out there. I won't even sit at a table with them on it.

technical fabrics are polyester/synthetic fabrics designed to keep you dry. thet dry quickly and are able to wisk moisture away from the skin. They tend to be more comfortable while working out.

[ My biggest problem is that all my workout wear is 1-2 years old. Being out of work, I have been making do. However, the "technical" fabrics I prefer have a tendency to accumulate odor over time, regardless of how thoroughly they are washed. It seems like everything is going at once--the shoes are worn out and all the…

I think you may have made a newby mistake starting to train to early with too much effort. I did the same thing but ended up injured. My Half marathon is in October and I was going to do a 16 week plan, but had to take most of this week off. Next week i am hoping to get back on track. Most plans are designed that you can…

this is a quote from Northwestern University "Water requirements are most effectively met by consumption of plain water or beverages which are > 90% water by volume. Water may also be obtained from solid foods such as fruits and vegetables which have a high water content." Teas should be over 90% water, as well as juices…

Research states that eating one serving of peanut butter five times a week decreases the rick of heart attacks by 50%. Consuming peanut butter can also reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes by 25%. The fats in nuts actually lower your cholesterol levels and are quite good for you. (My guess is the lower fat varieties of…

I wouldn't worry about changing what you are doing quite yet. If you just had a baby on 2/12/09 your hormones are probably all over the place. 1500 shouldn't put you in starvation mode and with the exercise, you should be back to losing wieght.

Just something to note. Orange roughy is currently on the list of fish that consumers should avoid the most. It doesn't reproduce until a very late age. Most fish are caught before they can reproduce and therefore they are in severe decline. This species is in the process of being listed as endangered in Australia. It is…

Current research is actually suggesting this may be the way to go. Some of the components (enzymes) that cause the desired changes we want to see from each a weight training workout may actually inhibit the effects of enzymes needed for the effects of endurance/cardio training to be effective and vice versa. But as with…

Apparently when you are PMSing you can actually have a physiological need for 100 to 500 more calories, which can be the equivalent to a full meal. I give up on limiting chocolate and plan it in once a week.

Cerabell definitely has it right. I started that way two years ago and have been running ever since. I would hold off on hills for a while. What I would recommend looking for local running stores. They often have beginner clinics that will allow you to hook up with people to run with who are also just starting and teach…

when they say you need 8 cups of water doesn;t mean you actually have to drink that much. alot of that water can come from food items. most fruits and many vegetables are mainly water, so you are getting large quantities of water from there
