Ahh, I live near Toronto and have been there on numerous occasions. I do not agree whatsoever with your characterization of the city as being 'thin'. Perhaps you should venture beyond the chic boutiques and visit theatres, museums, markets, etc. (*cough* observation bias *cough*)

Exactly.

I myself experienced this about three years ago when I was under-eating (VLCD) and over training. I was not on MFP at the time and honestly thought my low calorie intake was what was necessary to lose weight. I lost a substantial amount of hair as I was eating ~20-30 g protein per day, and very little iron and fat. As a…

I have experienced this as well. Actually, right now after dropping ~10 lbs I feel that my 'curves' are more noticeable too. However, I know that I am more conscious of my body shape/ profile now than before that weight loss. I strongly suggest that you take progress pictures as it really does help put things into…

I have struggled with binging (and purging) on and off for years. I have been able to overcome it (six weeks ago) by planning all of my meals and ensuring that I always have a healthy snack on hand (like a protein bar). Also, as mentioned above, do not overly restrict your calories. The overwhelming cravings that flung me…

Yes, I am currently missing one on each foot! How about you know you are a long distance runner when you have chafing scars from your HRM.

Yes, I have observed the same trend in the women's locker room.

Look at her 2nd profile picture (the one who made the comment you quoted). That'll answer all of your questions....

QFT. OP, isn't this your third thread regarding this topic?
-
Bump for later.

QFT!!!

It said some members of the FDA mentioned that; it does not mention who the scientist was. I doubt a scientist with a shred of credibility would have said such a ridiculous thing. This is just media nonsense.

Truth. I actually have problems with vanity sizing, where I am looking for XS or S, and find that most actually look like they should be at least an M.

I am 5'2", and went from 255 lbs to 136.5 lbs (pics are on my profile).
-
I noticed this as well; I weaned myself off of Coke Zero/ Pepsi Max by adding lemon juice to club soda. I have cut out all artificial sweeteners from my diet, and instead use agave nectar to sweeten my coffee. I have noticed that I no longer have insatiable cravings for sweet foods.

LMAO. You win this thread.

My starting weight was ~255-260 lbs, and I am down to ~136 lbs (BF 26%). I am 5'2", and my healthy BMI range is also ~115-135 lbs. There are many examples on this website proving that it is possible for obese people to achieve a normal weight; perhaps you should show your co-worker some of the success threads?
-
Absolutely!

Ok bro, whatever....
