If you are allowing dairy, my go-to protein powder is WheyFactors by NaturalFactors, the ingredients are simply whey protein, natural french vanilla flavor, and guar gum. No sugar/sweetener and only 2g carbs. I add a touch of honey to the shake to sweeten it a bit. Be careful with the protein powders you find in big stores…

When I stick to the Primal/Paleo guidelines I lose consistently every week (either weight, measurements or both). You need to cut out the grains and processed stuff, you seem to be eating at least one or the other at most meals. The processed food is promoting water retention because of the sodium levels and the grains…

I also tend to be a "slow loser"! I just have to remember that as long as it's going in the right direction then I need to celebrate that as a success. Every body is different, and what works for others may not work for you. If you really feel as though you are doing everything right I would suggest talking with your Dr. I…

That is a tough one, I would eat a meal before you go so you aren't starving while you're there. I would also be prepared to eat a sliver of pizza (if that's the menu item) to appease the evil spirits :P That way it's not much harm done to your diet and you can avoid an awkward social situation. Or just tell them that…

Married at 21 and our first baby is due to arrive 2 months after my 27th birthday :) I live in Montana, where the average age for kids is much lower!

I just found out yesterday and am also curious as to what people are setting their goals to. I will definitely switch to maintenance though. I still had about 19lbs to get to my goal weight, but I figure if I keep eating healthy and exercising regularly the impact will hopefully be minimal! I am TERRIFIED to gain a bunch…

You just all have to remember, whether it's 5 lbs in one week or .5 pounds in one week you are now lighter than you were before and headed in the right direction! Also, for any of you who are struggling with the back and forth lose and then gain, be sure to measure yourself! I lost 12 inches the first year and didn't go…

you'll have to spread the word! we'll create a worldwide epidemic of low production at work :P hahaha! I am from the states, not sure if everyone else is or not.

Haha, I took me forever too to figure it out, the first time I visited the site I couldn't figure out why people liked it, let alone got addicted to it... now i spend WAAAAYYY too much time pinning! Sometimes it helps to have a goal for your first board too, mine was my hubby's 30th birthday that I just started planning..…

I love this! thanks for your primal/paleo pinterest boards! i just pinned a ton of new recipes that I can't wait to try... and now i'm going for a run thanks to the inspiration to stay on track :P

Awesome! Thanks for your board info, I will definitely be following you! here's mine http://pinterest.com/bcreyes/primal-food/ and some of the stuff on there is ideas for bulk cooking/freezing for quick meals and storing produce! Also, I eat Primally so I eat full fat dairy and things like butter and bacon (a no-no I think…

with only 38.5lbs to lose, 6 pounds in one month is very very healthy! I would suspect that 6lbs in one week is going to be a lot of water weight and not the extra fat. I started with 44lbs to lose and I'm doing great if I am losing .75 - 1.25 pounds a week. If you are eating a Paleo diet because you want to treat your…

i'm still in an XL in some brands of women's shirts and I weigh 170, but my boobs and broad shoulders are the reason... I think even when I hit my goal weight I'll still be a large in shirts

I have only lost 24 pounds, but.... I am down from a tight size 12 jean to a comfortable size 10 I am halfway to my goal I am in better shape than I have ever been I have the confidence to take dance classes again (and perform infront of hundreds of people) I am 34 inches smaller I enjoy exercising more than sitting on the…

55% but I usually don't quite hit it usually :)

one of the biggest things I got out of his book is to BE HAPPY! if it makes you happy and doesn't stress your body to the point of being uncomfortable, then go with it. He states in the 21 day transformation that if you're not enjoying it, then it's not good for you ;) I just love it! especially coming from all these…

when i told my hubby that i was worried my boobs would dissapear when i started losing weight, he says "no worries, we can buy you more of those" hahaha, now that's the spirit! Thankfully I've only gone from a 38D to a 38C (still not sure how the '38' stayed the same considering the amount of inches lost)
-
i've had the same problem, it took 19lbs and 21 total body inches lost before I dropped from a 12 to a 10, i think it just has a lot to do with your body type. I am also 5'4" and started at 194 but I happen to have a thick frame (haha, the dr. even said it, so it's not just an excuse) and am very muscular. Keep at it,…

i had a bacon cheeseburger for dinner saturday night and when i ordered it i just ordered extra lettuce, and when it came i took off the bun and wrapped it in the lettuce leaves. I was really surprised because I didn't even miss the bun, all the deliciousness was in between the lettuce leaves AND i was actually able to…

I know how you feel! I am on day 5 and still working on a few things :P The carb flu is getting better everyday, the 2nd day was the worst, I was uncontrollably angry and tired all day long. So far I really am loving it though, and I'm not hungry even though my "calories" aren't nearly as high as they used to be! I've been…

I got the Primal Blueprint 21 day challenge book, and I have been checking out marksdailyapple.com and it's been pretty helpful, i just haven't had much time the last 2 days to really go through it and read all the information but I plan on being a frequent flyer on the site, and I'll have to check out thefatburningman.com…

thanks for the help, i updated my 'goals' to the new parameters... glad to know i'm not alone with the mood swings, can't wait for this to pass :)
-
thanks for all the great resources! the one thing i love about this is your not expected to be perfect all the time, and I know my hubby will probably not go for giving everything up forever, but I figure as long as we're doing this most of the time it will be incredibly beneficial for the times when his urge for real…

i need good supportive friends too! just started my Primal life today :) already loving it!

you can find a bunch of brands on Amazon.com, a lot of them with free shipping :)

I'm on week 7 :) and although I don't always have a chance to workout 6 days a week and it's taken me a little over 2 months to get to week 7, I LOVE IT!!! I've never toned up like this before, and I've had more success with this than any other program. The workouts are definitely tough, but they're doable because they're…

every time i've ever let mine in a grocery story my cart triples in size, mostly all munchies, so I happily do all the shopping :)
-
i take my measurements every week when i weigh myself, it really keeps me motivated because I see results even when the scale doesn't move!
-
getting the feeling of emotional strength almost beats out the physical strength you start to get! way to go, everyday we have small victories and we have to celebrate all of them!
-
try taking your measurements, you could be losing fat but toning up. don't get hung up on a number, you can torture yourself to starvation that way!
